How do I level up different classes?

I seem to be levelling up the standard levels (big level 8 now....wooo) but how would I level up my Medic to unlock certain weapons? Would I need to carry out class specific duties such as revives and med packs?

it's just getting the most xp points you can as that class. Doesn't matter how you get them, so whatever works. Best way to get xp is definitely playing the objective and capturing flags etc. But if you're medic, chucking down medi packs all over the place will definitely help :)

Join a good squad for one ;)

Thanks!

I literally can't seem to play any other class than Medic....they're available to play, but I'm god awful and don't enjoy them - does anybody else feel like this?

I'm the opposite. I can play all other classes apart from medic. Absolutely rubbish at it! Maybe I just have the wrong gun for using so should probably sit down and customise a bit.

Pretty much always medic here too. I love the rifles and I can't really get to grips with the other class weapons. Working on Assault because I want to Hellriegel but it's taking a while!

I'm best at support > medic > sniper > assault.

The BAR for support is brilliant.

I think tanks are too armoured. If I'm assault, I don't have enough munitions to completely take a heavy tank out. You always need a support guy throwing you ammo. If you haven't that then you have to die and hope to get back hitting the tank before he repairs. It's great that this encourages team coordination but it can be hella frustrating if you don't have that and going it solo

Going solo is frustrating as **** full stop.

I always play solo. I just find a squad which designates targets / take squad leader myself then I'm away. Am almost always top 5 regardless of class. Got MVP as scout the other day.

I do anti-tank as assult with anti vehicle grenades and av rockets. I don't think 1 man should be able to take out a heavy tank by himself.

IRL you could :p in fact, on BF4 you could.

Occasionally get in a decent squad if I pick one with support classes but more often than not I am by myself.

Team up with me, heatseeker, wr_chaos, Philthevicar (yes he is actually a vicar!), etc. We all talk on headset and it's a much better experience when you all coordinate and mix up your classes to complement one another.
