*** Battlefield 1 ***

Almost completed single player Campaign, so time to tuck into Online mode.

Had a quick match last night, capture the control points. How do you get different weapons etc? I've only really played Valve online FPS in the past (and Quake 3)

This one seems different to past BF games kinda, from what I can see so far... You earn credits and buy the ones you want. If your a certain level.

That doesn't seem to be the case in BF1, there's not enough difference in the weapons over the levels to do that, except lvl 10.

Hopefully the expansions will through in some challenges to unlock guns or limit to certain levels. At the moment it doesn't matter what overall level you are, it's a pointless number that just shows probably how long you've played the game more than anything.

Whatever you do don't drive about in the armoured car that can take five people, its so easy to blow up. That being said I completed one of my medals by throwing an anti tank grenade at it, five kills.
 
hardcore mode finally here however the settings dont match bf4

no hit markers - not even red one to confirm a kill
team markers only show when you aiming at a team-mate (results in a lot more friendly fire)

Not really tbh. the starter guns aren't that bad, the only one I dislike is the Cei Riggoti for the medic, and now they've buffed the Lewis thats usable too.

Basically get your class up one level and all is good. :)

Trying to level medic and got to level 1 last night! I HATE the start gun.. what's a good choice for medic?
 
Any other one tbh, Selbstlader 1916 is good, Mondragon is good, Autoloading 8 is a beast. :D

That said, I did use the Cei Riggoti last night for a bit and its better than I remember it!

Sounds good.

"Hardcore" was always noob mode in previous games due to the low TTK making the COD players feel more at home.

Loved hardcore in the past BF games, not sure about this one, feels like a massive thrown together after thought, love the no hit markers, but the tagg system is awful I spent most of my time getting shot and revived by my own team, there's a big delay you mostly have to ADS to see if their on your side or if your lucky see which uniform their wearing which isn't always possible then bang your dead - by a team mate again.
Also they've dropped health from 100% down to 40% I would imagen it's quite low indeed.

I use the Selbstlader marksman, nice balance between close quarters firefights with 26 ammo in each clip and its a monster at distance, unfortunately its not unlocked until level 3, until then its a slog no doubt :(

He doesn't real bring anything to the forum other than "look at me look at me". You won't miss much.

Seems all those playing the TRIAL version of 10 hrs play time now cannot play the game. Crashes on loading. Not really going to help convince those people to pay for full game.

I was waiting for HC so have only 2 hrs on normal. Looks like I'll have to wait for a fix, better be within the month as dont want to pay another £3.99 to have another trial.
