I usually get 90+ fps average at that same res and settings. Maybe really infrequent drops to that low a framerate. I wouldn't use wifi for this sort of game.

And without Squad orders ( PTFO ) you are quickly lost.

25 minute rounds can be lost quite easily if you don't have atleast 2 squads setting orders.

A good squad, with orders can run very well in this game, at pace.

But once you get a squad leader who is a Pilot or Sniper - forget it.

My 2nd best weapon is the combat knife ~ 600 kills :D

I did quite well as a sniper as a leader in a match once, I was close to top of the leaderboard, just setting and following your own orders you get loads of points even when your not that good at the class.
 
only played the new map since the latest patch but has anyone else got the issue where when you enter one of the buildings it gets super bright?
tried searching but cant find any info on it

Strangely the framerate seems around 90-100 now but can drop on occasion. I never have issues over wifi at all usually bar this game claiming packet loss. My brother in law on a wired connection has the same issue with the icon appearing constantly.

I hate snipers, just hit lv10 with it, shot about 10 people ever as a sniper, go sniper, get in vehicle as a passenger, capture points and bobs your uncle
 
Hackers are ruining the game atm. :mad:

The last few days have been full of people running exploits, cheats and other odd things.

I had a moment yesterday where I spawned on some players on a roof top (no idea how they got there) and when I jumped down I was able to jump higher than normal for a few seconds....

Have to say that server felt rather odd. Lots of strange subtle things happening I couldn't put my finger on.

Also yes, when you first get in to a game you can hear loud explosions until you spawn.

Still so many bugs in this game. One big one is when you get revived (sometimes) you cant look down sights until you switch weapons back and forth.

Do they not do any bug testing!! :o
 
Was it Amiens? My mate spawned on a roof top there yesterday after a death, very odd indeed.

There are cheats in the game but they are present in many iterations of Online shooters, i refuse to let them ruin my gaming experience.

I saw a post on another forum the other day from a guy who was admitting to purchasing a cheat pack for the weekend and was feeling remorseful about it. The usual aim bot and the like and also "silent aim" where you don't even need to keep looking at someone to kill them. Did a google search and was shocked at some of the links and a couple claim they've never been detected or had any user banned. The video and screen shots clearly show enemies painted orange so how isn't this being picked up by anti cheat software? Didn't Punkbuster take screenshots of users screens looking for features like this? It really ****es me off that Dice/EA and the like aren't doing everything they can to rid gaming of this. I can take getting my arse handed to me by a more talented player but this cheating gives me the ****** hump! :mad: It ruins the whole experience of a game that's lets face it isn't cheap or the hardware you have to purchase to run them. There have been numerous occasions where I've been killed and been sure some cheat was going on as they appeared to shoot me with an impossible shot due to a scenery piece being in the way. I would NEVER use these cheat services and tbh I don't understand those that do.
 
I've seen them on the roof of ballroom blitz c flag area but that was because a pilot bailed and landed there then the squad just joined him ,not a new tactic tbh.
But I have also seen enemies spawn on uncaptured flags that's not normal but again have also seen it before as part of some multihack BS in bf4
There is a few donkeys hacking but I cba to worry about them as the games not total hack central far as I can tell
 
Since the last patch about once a night when gaming I get a couple of seconds on real stuttering.

It clicked tonight that I had a similar thing when I tried to run BF4 on 4gb as a test for someone so I looked at my total RAM usage and sure enough it was hovering around 7.0-7.1GB then a drops to 6.5gb and the same time as the stuttering happened.

Now I have 16gb installed so I a little confused why it would feel the need to dump memory.

It does ruin the experience for others and given games are simply a stream of 1's and 0's I'm not sure what people get out of it! I do want to buy this game when prices drop and when the cheaters move onto the next big thing! I play Battlefont and the hackers seem bored of that now!
