*** Battlefield 1 ***

Havent played this since January and decided to reinstall it today. I assume because i bought the "Ultimate" edition i have access to everything new that has been released ? Im so out of the loop with this game having ignored it for 6 months.

If you have access to all the DLC and the CTE (community test environment) you have the premium edition (now rebranded as revolution edition).

There's a few of us who play pretty much every night and get together on the OcUK discord and there's still room in the platoon if you want to join.

Speaking of which there's a couple of people applied I'm not sure are forum members, if you have applied and have not yet been accepted, please post your in-game name in this thread.
 
Well l have come to the conclusion being BF1 Squad leader is a waste of time as very few players follow your orders, BF1 is about team work which can get you more points as well and maybe top squad at the end of the round..

On pointing this out to the squad no one was bothered and got some nice replies as well.

I know the feeling. If it's randoms I'm inclined to kick them. Better they get salty than you end up salty. It's easier when your squad is all on Discord as you can rage directly ;)

In battlefield1, you need to click on platoons (shield in left hand column menu), select search for platoon "Overclockers UK" and apply there.
 
Learned something new today, the sniper decoy "heads" on sticks actually make a scope glint. Seen one at range and i was shelling it with an arty truck, wondered why i was missing and went to take a look....doh :o

It's a known bug since the last update. Do not use shotguns until it's fixed, unless you enjoy randomly being incapable of defending yourself.

BTW, There's a CTE update due today I believe where DICE are testing out weapon balance changes (IIRC suggested by Marbleduck). For several weapons, they will require 1 shot less to kill at certain ranges. It won't suddenly make snipers kill at all ranges for instance, but it should be an interesting set of changes to try at least.

Yeah i logged in yesterday and had a tonne of battlepacks to open. Ive played a few hours snce yesterday and it has given me my fps fix for a few hours. The game is obviously stunning but always leaves me feeling a bit meh. Probably the fact that no one revives on this game

Hi, not sure if this is the right thread, but any ideas where's the cheapest place I can buy this? I'll be happy with the standard edition. Or is Origin Access the best bet (though I'm mainly only looking for BF1 to play)?

Origin access is your best bet, you could pay for one month only (if you're not interested in any other EA games, otherwise a year's membership is much better value), try the game out without buying it, and if you like it use the Origin access discount to buy. Personally I think the rather considerable extra content (DLC, XP events, and CTE access) make it worth looking at the revolution version (Lower priced premium version), but I know people who disagree with me on this. If you timed your 1 month Origin access to run over black friday you might be able to pick up a bargain..
