Tempted to pick up Premium while it's on sale...
Have you updated to Windows Creators Update since you played last?Just tried playing again tonight. Don't know what's happened since spring with the updates, but it is now unplayable on my machine.
FPS are OK, but awful game breaking stutters every 20 seconds or so. I5 2500K and 7970.
Oh well. I have a 1070 GTX sat on my desk, unopened; waiting for a Ryzen 1600 CPU, mobo and ram to arrive tomorrow for a rebuild.
Have you updated to Windows Creators Update since you played last?
Thanks, I'll give this a try. I've got a 165hz monitor, should I still set it to 144 in-game? I've heard you can change a script to set an fps limit as an alternative.
Yes you can add a script to the BF1 directory, however I use Afterburner for O/C'ing my GPU so I just Cap the FPS with Riva tuner as it's much easier. Capping yours to 160/162 would be fine but I'd personally stick to 120 then as mentioned your GPU won't need to work as hard, 120Fps is more than enough for a quick smooth experience in BF1.
How did you get on?
Should I buy the game outright or sign up to a year of Origin access for £20. What's the difference?
What does the premium pass do?
Cheers that did it for me - purchased premium! Enjoying some of the new maps and it's freshened things up nicely. It's on special now, There might be a slightly better deal around black Friday, but I'd be astonished if it was lower then £20, and it's current price is the same as 2 of the 4 DLC packs. Personally I would get it if you think you'll be playing another 100hours or more, because I don't see the base game as having much content or being value for money on it's own. The extra DLC, extra 2xp events, battlepacks and access to CTE make it a game worth persisting with IMO.
