Battlefield 2

If it wasn't for BF2, I would have moved away from PC gaming to the Xbox 360 long ago.

Bad Company on the Xbox 360 is decent, but like all Xbox games it only uses local servers, so has a 24 player limit. Also it is missing that one vital ingredient that makes me keep coming back to BF2..

64 player Infantry Only Karkand! :)
 
does anyone know how i can unlock everything in 2142? i don't need to as the last items can be unlocked from squad unlocks but just wondering as i continue to play but i can no longer get promoted and all my points and going towards nothing.
 
I will prob get flamed for this, but BF2 is my first ever online game. It is still the best multiplayer out there imo.I remember when i tried flying the apachi. I got pretty good, but there was always room for improvement. Me and this other lad was always running back to pilot the heli. Most of the time, i would just nab him and get to pilot it. Obviously i wasn't as good as him, and he was getting pretty cheesed off with me keep beating him to be pilot. He told me if i didn't quit it, he would kick me. I was like, "yeah whatever"


He kicked me off. Must have been his server or something lol
 
Can anyone tell me what version is most upto date? I've used the full 1.4 patch from install but I can only see literally 20 odd servers, it cant be the newest surely?
 
I played so much of this for a couple of years, and can't wait for BF3.

Are there still any problems running this on Vista 64-bit? Last time I played (with XP) I had to use Widescreen Fixer to get 1680x1050.

Running fine on Vista64 ere, just had to run it as admin.
 
yeah, run as admin and make sure the two punkbuster services are allowed through your firewall. And yes, it's still worth using the widescreen fixer, even at 5:4 tbh. though I've stuck with an older version, the last one to be confirmed as ok with PB.

After picking up a global ban from running ATi Tray Tools a month or so back I don't want to risk going through that again. :(
 
This is my first Online game, and i got so hooked :) i try play it at least once a week now :(

Might install 2142 for some walker fun haha good walker and hover tank

I remeber playing 2142 and the bf2, and wonder why the tank don't hover :D

and still can't find my SF disk GRRRRRRRRRRRrr might need to fork out £4 :P
