Battlefield 2

My mate had the draw distance a lot shorter due to his wheezy graphics card and I'd be driving a jeep telling him to shoot at someone on teamspeak and he'd be "where" ha, ha.
There is nothing better than BF with 2 or three mates on Teamspeak tagging enemies and reviving or repairing each other, bliss!

ay nothing more annoying than being in a jeep/heli/tank with a random and having no communication :(
you could be pointing directly at something and they will be looking the other way :p
 
Thats caused more strops in our house than anything.

I have shouted at the kids do this or do that and they just throw a tantrum and walk off... Even worse, they log off and start playing UT in the middle of a firefight... The gits.

Im such a harsh sod though, so its all my fault.

Its a waste of time TBH when we are all in the same room, but when say the kids are on the Lan and Im on this one, then its a bit more fun when its them against me... They love that.
 
I sold my copy of Battlefield 2 Deluxe.

I wish i didnt now but i still own 2142 on the EA Downloader, have been tempted to get that up and running again.

They did a demo of the xbox version, but they have turned the multiplayer off now the monkeys. Bad company, uses the same engine bf3 will do I think

IMO the only thing bf3 needs is to learn the mistakes or faults bf2 have. Ie the easy in which servers and game is hacked into. A better server filter, think they got it spot on with the 2142 style and content. A return to naval warfare like in the original and the ability to mix & match maps from expansion packs, which is a dreadfull error in the current bf2. Add in better graphics and more players, sorted
 
Battlefield on Xbox was a joke compared to the P.C, Bad Company is a good game though. Hopefully the buddy system and server pages from 2142 will be used in BF3 but I'm not sure about some of the gimmicky upgrades as it left new players absolutely stuffed until the decent guns etc where unlocked.
 
Wasn't there some talk from EA of another patch for BF2 a few months ago? Maybe the inclusion of some more maps etc.

If you are into WW2 then Forgotten Hope 2 is a good mod and the new update looks to be shaping up well.
 
Do you guy's know if there's been any word on BF3? The PC really needs a shiny new version of BF2 me thinks!

BF2142 is just a bit too spacey, titan is a waste of time too.
 
bf3 is at least a year away I think

Hope the delay is because they are making it much more awesome then the xbox version but it might be they are just trying new ways of making money like that heroes bunk
