Caspian Border all on ultra newer seen bellow 50fps, runs very nice and smooth also uses VRAM above 1700mb

everything ultra apart from terrain detail
no aa
no motion blur
no hbao
no af

1600x1050 (max monitor res)
getting 80fps highest and lowest 45-50
really pleased as i didnt think my cards would hold up!

Am I the only one who thinks it looks totally average? Nothing added from BF2, gg hf etc.

It's still **** with 11.10 V2 and cap3.

I've lowered all the settings to High as well, turned off blur and HBAO for over 100fps easy on Caspian and it's still stuttering like a *****. I'll try 11.9 tomorrow in hope. VRAM is well under the limit too.

2 x 6950 (modded) using cap3 and 11.10 v3 driver giving me pretty stable performance.

Deferred AA off
Post AA medium
AF 8x
HBAO

this really helped with the stuttering which was awful previously

had a go

on single player 4 hours today.
At 1366x768 on ultra settings i get around 60 with few drops to 2x in one place so far.
Runs good enough on my 6850@850 cpu usage around 35% on [email protected]
Not bad since its not fully optimized yet i think.

Damien whats your rig?

Wolvers I got rid of the stuttering by doing this:

1. Uninstall ATI Drivers
2. Uninstall CAP
3. Use Driver Sweeper to get rid of any traces of the ATI Drivers
4. Install 11.10 Preview 3 drivers

Im now playing with everything High and not HBAO but the other one and its running 80 - 100 fps. Resolution 1080P. Make sure you reboot after each step, dont do any shortcuts. Yeah its a ball ache but its worth it

Seems to be a bit stuttery for me at times, fps is always above 60, (averaging 80 ono), memory use at 1200mb, both cards at 99% usage. Using the latest nv drivers. It could be net lag but then theres no ingame ping display, the beta seemed to be a bit smoother.

Still can't seem to get CF to work, but running rock solid on the single 6950

...

I'm on the preview drivers without the CAP installed

edit: experiencing no stutters so far through SP. V-sync is on though.

edit2: Sorry, has anyone actually got CF to work? I'm only getting 99% usage on 1 of my cards... If you are getting CF can you please tell me which drivers you are on? I'm going back to 11.9 for the time being.

sorry to be a dumb ass, but what is this cap3 people are going on about?

im running 6950>6970's in cfx and it's smooth @ 1920x1080 ultra etc.

also regarding the powertune settings, is it needed when clocking to 1300 / 900? cant seem to go higher than 900 within the drivers.

probably go higher using msi's software?

CAP is Catalyst Application Profile (I think?) - basically the xFire settings for each game.
Odd you can't pass 900mhz, I thought it was limited to 950mhz - and unlocked to 1300mhz once you flash to 6970 bios O.o That's how mine was.

I never used a 6970 bios, I used the default bios with the cards and unlocked the shaders to 1536.

I'll have to look for specific HIS IceQ 6970 bios and flash my cards, unless you can change the speed with ATI flash / RBE

I was wary of getting a non HIS bios as I didn't want to bork the cards, seeing as these are non reference cards.

Finally got CF running and stable on the 11.10 preview 2 drivers 1

Getting around 100 fps+ on all ultra settings (post aa is on low).

seems like 70fps in firefights from MSI afterburner app. This is just crazy how optimised it is compared to the beta. Although not tried MP yet, I'm guessing the MP is more demanding with all the players and large scale maps.
