Is it just me or can you not assign keys in the beta trying to assign prone and crouch to my mouse and its not letting me.

Anyone had luck assigning/binding keys ?

Thank you everyone who participated in testing Caspian Border with us during the Open Beta. We of course cherish and appreciate the time you have put into supplying is with good feedback. We will of course read it through and discuss it internally.

Testing has now been completed and we are shutting down the Caspian Border servers.

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!

Not sure about the game so far - my main gripe is that movement is too jarring, and it is not at all easy to control your direction and transitions from one point of cover to another. Maybe its the map, maybe its the fact that I am so used to BC2. A bit unhappy overall.

Also, most of the matches end up with crawling prone through locations to avoid being shot at. I suppose its because of it being Operation Metro as well, but for the first time I am doubting my pre-order....:(

Are people still having fps issues with the beta? I seem to have been very lucky as after updating my video driver to AMD's latest for the BF3 beta i am running smooth as at 2560x1440. I am running a i7 @ stock with a 6970, quite impressed so far at the gameplay but hope it is a bit more polished in time for it's full release which no doubt it will be :)

Surely they will open it to the public officially before the beta ends! Would help advertise as thats all people want to do is try vehicles, thays what the series is all about!

i cant help but think they have shot themselves in the foot with this beta

i know 4 people who were considering getting this game but after playing the metro map now have zero interest in the game.

such a bizarre and poor choice of map to show off a battlefield game

I doubt they will. I get the impression they think it will attract more people if they hold certain aspects back. I'm not sure it'll work like that though.
We shall see
