A) nobody has a hard copy yet because its not released in the UK until friday

B) in answer to your question, no you don't. You can play single player in "offline mode" of origin.

I've upped the settings, hitting 50fps which I'm happy with an it looks beautiful. I cant shoot for anything though. Did kill 3 with a sniper...all be it using like 10 rounds lol..

Yea i knew about the release date, its just some retailers do send the game out early although when i think about i never heard of a retailer send the hardcopies out this early so i dont know why i asked. would it be possible to check the download version to see if its 100% playable in offline mode without connection? i only ask because everyone on the official BF3 forums are ignorant and wont answer. thanks again guys.

Swore I would wait until friday but saw how easy it was and gave and in and glad I did!!

Got board of single player within 10 minutes so straight into multiplayer and loving it!!

Getting fairly good fps between 40-65 with crossfire 5850's resolution = 2560x1600, All on high with a couple of things on ultra.

I have crossfire 5850s too, can you play at 1080P and put all the settings to High and let me know the FPS on Multiplayer please? I'll sleep easy for the next few days until it arrives on Friday.

Theres way to many vehicles for the small urban conquest maps, they just appear from no where and rape all of your team.

The vehicles are not the problem, It's servers running 64 player on maps that really should be 48 at very very most for conquest mode.

Afraid I'm just going to bed but surely if im playing on a resolution twice the size your going to use and im playing on high/ultra settings with 40-65fps your be absolutely fine on high settings?
