Guys what settings would people recommend for this setup? I'm on running it @ 1080p but can't seem to decide which options to have off or on? Should I have vsync on?

Specs:
2500K
8 gb
580GTX

same spec, everything on Ultra 4xA 16Xma and Vsync is ON, at 1080p, everything is as smooth as an egg shell.

Completed the Single player in 6 hours yesterday. most impressive SP since Modern Warfare.

yup I was on all last night it's so epic. a lot has changed from the Beta, lots of good comments in this thread now despite all that talk earlier

Wow that's quite a change! I guess it's more newbie friendly now. What about for helicopters? Do flares unlock early for them as well?

Also what's the damage from anti-air missiles like? Any change from the beta as well?

Flares for choppers are also at 300 iirc. Damage from Air-to-Air missiles is spot on I think, it takes 2 to critically damage (i.e. below 50%) an enemy aircraft. For stingers, it looks like it does the same amount of damage. I think the damage is slightly decreased from BETA?

Did you install it?

go here http://evenbalance.com/index.php?page=support-bf3.php to download the PD update manually. Your Firewall or UAC may also be blocking it.

It's installed and tried re-installing it. Faffed around with the router as well and nothing worked. Think I will have to wait for a fix. Few other people are having this problem too.

You can play the game directly with you UK IP address, no need to go via proxy or VPN once you unlocked the game. The database will allow you to authenticate against battelog.

MP is outstanding, btw the stats will reset globaly on Friday.

You have to repeatedly press space on that bit, not just once.

Your gfx card is better then mine and I had around 60-80 fps on huge maps with these settings..

mortar spam makes baby jesus cry, such a game spoiler, snipers on the server i was on this morning were spamming like crazy and stopping any decent pushes with it.

I was a bit negative with the alpha and beta about how good this will be, but so far the responses seem positive.

Can't wait to try the baby.

etc. I've played 26 mins in planes and have unlocked all of those so far. Lots others are very close to unlocking. It won't take long to get all of them.

But wont you have to start again when the game is released? Or does your rank/points still carry on for when the actual game is released?
