Battlefield 3 thread - Server details in opening post -

right, really annoying issue that i thought i'd fixed, origin won't actually install bf3 to my d: drive, even though i've set it to.

here's my settings:

it still dumps the game in C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games

anyone have any idea how i get this to stop?

Once it's installed just copy the folder to the new location and change the registry key here:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\EA Games\Battlefield 3

and just change the 2 paths.

I can't say I've really noticed any difference when aiming down sights? Make sure you've got "Use Raw Input" disabled as this will stop it using mouse acceleration, or have it on, whichever you prefer.

As to the vehicle sensitivity, there should be an option under Options > Gameplay as far as I remember, the same page as the above is on actually.

I'm going to have a play with it tonight to try and set up some profiles on my G400 for infantry, vehicle and air, as I like to use different settings for each!

No problemo, i had to do the same but in reverse when i was trying to work out why my game wouldn't work properly

There is a big difference, it halves my sensitivity, also I have raw input on, I will try with it off.

edit: The tooltip suggests turning raw input on to avoid mouse acceleration.

this game is a complete and utter console port, map design wise. no chance in hell would we get maps like metro conquest and damavand peak conquest if BF3 was a pc exclusive. any 1 who thinks otherwise is either in denial or just plain daft.

This game is populated with people that only care about there k/d they don't bother helping the team, They sit there camping trying to get a great k/d.

People drive away when you try and repair there tanks, they run away if you try and heal them and so on..

Wait till things calm down a bit. Get on team speak and mumble and try play on clan servers or with lots of friends. Its a totally different experience but everything is just too new and crowded at the moment

Common rose is gash ATM too. Like your sig.....ill add you to friends

Infact from your location you might even live across the road! Fancy a pint!

Anyone here order with GAME? I pre ordered months ago, and seen a lot of people say theres got despated 1-2 days ago yet mine still hasn't been despated and seeing as though it's free delivery (1-2 days), I am starting to get a little concerned that I won't get it for release.

Bought from GAME, yet to be dispatched, usually the games come through the post a day earlier, not looking likely now though.

Yeah this is what I found last night, although every now and then I'd run into a group that would play ball. This was on the TFU 64 player server as well.

Yeah that's why I am worried, in the past I have ALWAYS got pre orders a day before, yet my mate said ever since the website change his orders have been arriving late and I was like "oh great". I recieved an email notifiying me about my pre order and that it might get despateched early and they would charge my card. But so far, nitto.

Whats the penalty for team killing now, looking at a video earlier of someone using the mortar I would have thought they stood a fair chance of hitting their own side

I try to play more of a support role as I've got a rubbish aim.

I'll follow my squad leader about flinging health and ammo at him when needed or go an engineer if the squad is using a tank.

It means that my k/d is normally 2-8 or the like and I don't get to unlock stuff for my guns because it all requires kills!!!

I was wondering the same thing,In the Alpha and Beta it kept installing the game to my "C" drive which is my SSD,Its too small!!!!
il try this out when i actually get the game.

Me,I pre-ordered last week with them,got an email early this morning saying it has been dispatched...did not turn up today though,hopefully tommorow.
