been too busy the last few days for BF3, but did have time last night for a little test.
I have been using a three monitor setup since day one and had no end of trouble in th early days with bugs and unfinished features, like the hud not working and light effects too bright etc.
But then things settled down and the main persistant bug was the inability to see laser targeted vehicles.
then last night i decided to put back my 32" tv that i originally bought to go with my pc. my eyefinity monitors are old school 5:4 ratio and i thought maybe the larger screen and wider central viewing area might be better for gameplay
i only got to play for about an hour yesterday, and first impressions are that it's not as good.
It was nice to be able to see laser targets and it might be worth sticking with for that alone, also i now realise that you are meant to be able to see grenades. before all i was getting was a cryptic red dot sliding across the bottom of my screen, but i see now you are meant to be able to see it on the ground in front of you.
think i'll give it one more day then go back to my triple monitors and start saving up for three widescreens.
btw for anyone baulking at the cost of three monitors for an eyefinity setup, i paid £70 for three 19" monitors from an office clearance on ebay. they are about the same height as 23" widescreen monitors, and i tok the plastic surrounds off so they sit really close together. worth the effort if you already have a suported graphics card.

Should really read, 'we've got plans to milk all of our franchises by turning them more into 'pay for download content' by providing a shell of a game up front with a low map/weapon count, ensuring we have constant revenue streams for less work'
Haha so true its stupid what people pay for these days like I can't believe there BF3 selling dog tags.... I can see in the future everything truing Free to play (pay to win)
I hope in the next DLC they focus on maps made specifically for BF3 gameplay. I would also like to see a change to the ranked server rules allowing for infantry only on both larger and smaller maps.
Maybe I have not given B2K a chance but I just hate the maps (I never played BF2).
I played BF2 to death and loved Karkand & Sharqi but now I hate them & the only old/new map I like is Gulf of Oman
