Yep, I seem to crash less also (in general) although when they do happen, it's when I am doing well in a round 
Had a good couple of rounds in a squad with Helier, thetinsnail and another last night - was top three on metro and bam, crash. I raged at my PC then left it and went to bed in floods of tears

But check my monthly reports on bf3 stats
average 5 k/d ratio and 850 spm
if i could stat wipe and start again will be no contest haha

Origon out for me as well, Validaton server is off line is teh message im getting.
damn i wish i had bfbc2,
i think ea should give us all a copy for free so we have something to play when origin goes down.
in fact i'm gonna go and suggest it now on the battlog forums.
