Believe me, you'll know when you get the patch, going on dice's track record, there'll be a whole new host of bugs.:D

What do people think of the M204B?, it's not a weapon for long range or high damage shots that's for sure. The PKP seems to be a class of it's own :D

I love it.

Seem to get on better with it than the PKP or the M249.

Its a nice halfway house between the two.

hitmarkers and no damage taken.

Thats a bug with the kill cam.

I've shot at people before, got hit markers and then been killed by them to discover they have 100 % health.

Only then for them to be killed moments later and me get a kill assist of over 50 points.

So i'd taken 50 + health off them, but they showed as 100 % health in the kill cam.

Dice wouldve made their lifes a lot easier if they putted the armoured kill DLC 1st and then then the Close Quarters one. Instead they go easy money way which might backfire on them. Sure u get new players but a lot wont be there in Oktober.

But where will they go instead, is there a BF alternative? It seems hardly anyone went back to BC2 and no one went back to BF2. Is BC3 out this year?

I think they're more CoD players than BF players, it won't backfire.

On another note, i can't be ****** with getting the rest of the unlocks on the starter weapons anymore, **** unlocks, just going to pick a weapon with a high refire rate from now on and enjoy the game rather than bothering with unlocking everything for every weapon, vehicle etc.

I don't want just tank maps, cqc maps can be fun, but dice seem more interested in making tiny maps, with as many choke points as possible for people to spam rockets at. Where are the good cqc maps that accommodated 64 players and vehicles and provided a good mix. Road to Jalalabad on Bf2 was a great cqc. Fairly open at the front for the tanks to push and break the defensive line along with a few major roads that the tanks could use. Then intense infantry fighting inside the city and around the inner flags.

This dlc is so far from what a battlefield game should be :(. Dice just seem obessed with making tiny maps with choke points everywhere.

...

If they had any intention of biggest maps ever, then bf3 stock would have at least one map the size of zatar wetlands, clean sweep or any of the larger bf2 maps.

I really need to pick up BF2 then, never played it yet! My Battlefield game 'career' started with 2142, which then moved onto Bad Company 1 and 2, and now BF3. (Does anyone know if there's going to be a new 2142 btw?)

Strange things tonight. I ran up behind a soldier and knifed him. Animation didnt start, i just swung the knife and the guy just disappered into fresh air! No kill either.

the reason they bringing out the new upclose dlc is they know mw3 is bad they know it will sell a lot better than the vehicle big dlc maps.

they know what time frame this game has and shelf life basically one year.

so get out most popular dlc in the most saleable order before thier next product hits in october and people buy that and forget about bf3.

medal of honor war fighter will probably do exactly the same

lol COD noobs will play COD, it does its thing much better than BF3. The reason they are doing lame CQC first is because it's that much quicker to develop the small maps compared to the so called biggest maps ever in conquest. Look at the time frame for the DLC's, obviously it's taking them time to do them.

And who says CQC is popular, from what I'm reading on forums it's going down like a lead balloon with the majority of players.

so you think they just banged this out ?

it would have all been planned and ready probably as the game was launched or before not last week.

simple fact is the close quarters will sell more than the bigger map pack that comes later . 5 pound bet ? donate it to whatever :)

take a look at what is most played = metro
take a look at what people most leave on = vehicle maps / large maps

not rocket science.

as for people crying about stuff on forums that is what they do :p

Just because it's the Battlefield forums, it doesn't mean it holds the majority of players who play Battlefield, it's mainly where people go to moan and troll, it's why i avoid gaming forums.

I quite like close quarters maps. My favourite map on America's Army was Pipeline a close quarters map. My favourite map on BFBC2 SQDM was Isla Innocentes, easily the smallest SQDM map in the game. My fave BF3 TDM map is Canals.

I like the bigger maps and sometimes the vehicles too, but they can get quite frustrating when you are not an Engineer or Support with C4.

I'm quite looking forward to the DLC.

Indoor maps are much easier to make than large sprawling outdoor maps. I also think this DLC will do quite well with a lot of people.
