But as I said before HC is just ruined for me now. As DG said months ago, which wasn't true back then but IMO it is now :p "get shot in the toe and you're dead" :p

And it is pretty obvious from my k/d now, lol, before patch I would be in the top 5 in my team and have around 30/13 as assault class, after last patch, bottom 6 and like 1/13, lol.

Not that I don't care if my k/d was completely xxxx every match, but it is no fun, when you get shot and are instantly dead every few minutes.

Where as with softcore, I am back to being in the top 5 again and around 2 k/d for each match, plus it is great not having to worry about team kills any more and then being punished for it when it was the guys fault for running on top of my grenade or in front of my line of sight :mad:

And one thing I have noticed on soft core is that there seems to be A LOT more teamwork, I seem to be getting revived A LOT and medics actually run after me to give me health :) and everyone seems to stick together, that alone makes up for the stupid 3D spotting :p
 
I've always enjoyed playing regular BF3 more than hardcore. I know some object to the 3D spotting but i never found it an issue. It just teaches you not to hang around out in the open in one spot.

Move from cover to cover and you can break the spot.
 
You still get killed around corners
You still get the loading bug
You still get no registered kills even though it was a point blank range headshot in hardcore
You still get the bad luck bug, like jumping a rock!

Unfortunately the getting killed around corners will never be fixed :( and it is even more noticeable in soft core *sigh*

And funnily enough, I hadn't had a bad luck death in ages, however, today I have had around 4! Most annoying ones were;

- in a jet just flying straight then next second, the screen zooms out and the jet just keeps going and the bad luck comes up :mad:

- was in a good position on seine, took out about 4 people and could have taken more out as there seemed like there were a ton bunched up and I simply take one step to the left and surprise............BAD LUCK WTF! :mad:

Bring on Grimrock so I can put this POS aside for a few weeks

Getting 3.2MB/sec it should be no more than 2.4MB/sec on my SKY DownStream Connection Speed 23773 kbps connection.

Bit of annoyance that all my gear seems to have been reset.

But other then that, have they changed something with the stinger lock ons?
Was just on Damavand park rush, was attacking some defenders had a scout chopper and I couldn't get a lock on for love nor money. Damn thing wasn't even trying, though I occasional got the lock on beep when I wasn't even targetting it. :rolleyes:

Opps something else to add

Just tried the javalin, fired at tank and the rocket took a nose dive straight into the ground...litterally 10 feet infront of me.

earlier i spot a tank think ok your mine with mr javelin :D

launches hits the tank blows it up i die at same time and it says bad luck i was in middle of desert not being shot at tank was laf a mile away :confused::p

im just uploading a glitch i found on Kharg island is it the desert map. :)


this is alpha stuff took me like 2 mins to find who is testing this ****

Games smoother for me, don't get random dips to 20 fps anymore, thats with a 5870@1000mhz and i7950@ 4.2 plus 12gig ram. Haven't updated my drivers in months so its not a driver thing i guess.
Battlefield 3 is a marmite game. When everything works, nothing comes to close to it as multiplayer shooter. But thats the issue getting it to work.
In all a good patch its fixed things and hasn't broken many. Roll on the dlc.

I think perhaps you should be looking to connectivity issues or something. I played earlier and it felt no different damage wise. Several times I got away (barely) after taking hits, and several times I also managed to shoot someone a couple of times before they died. Exactly like it used to be.

I did notice however that I was getting regular lag stutters. I think what you're experiencing must be related to that.

does it do that every round from the same position?

I used to get that all the time randomly, it looks more like a graphics glitch than anything else.

haters gonna hate?

from my perspective tanks are rather weak but im all for that, if they would only tweak the accuracy of jet's guns (i.e make them less stupidly OP versus infantry) then I'd be most content with the patch :)

Running terribly for me at the minute, feels like a slide show, been like this for the past few days. Strange thing is that previously its been fine, im dropping to below 60fps a lot, where previously ive never seen below 80.

Then again ive haven't checked my graphics settings since the patch so don't know if they have been reset.

Good advice, I can see people better on low. It's quite funny how good it looks as well with FXAA as well. I do find myself playing with the settings quite a bit tho. Sometimes on certain maps it's just nice to look around and take it the *beauty.

That's prob the best description I've seen of BF3.

The only point I'd add is that even tho people seem to hate it and give it hell...They still seem to be playing it, in the main.
