It's going to use the Frostbite engine. Which is good, because it's a kickass engine with terrain/structure deformation that will do more for gameplay than any pretty graphics ever will.

never really understood why BF2 was so popular

while the vehicle battles was decent fighting on foot was terrible

The thing I hated about Battlefield games since 1942 were the vehicles - between the tanks and the attack helicopters. I just am not a huge fan of vehicle combat games, I would play on the infantry only servers when I did play.

They just have in BF2 , timed delay in the new patch 1.5 . You watch all theese so called Uber Infantry Meic Whores get Pwned as the Auto Hot Keys they have been using fail .

I have just reloaded BF2 and it is still my fave FPS. The only new things it needs is the buddy system from 2142 and better anti air cover to counter jet jocks. I just know they are going to make a horrible console port and probably put SecureRom on it to really f*ck it up! Lol

Im pretty sure EA have ditched SecureRom since the whole mess with spore i think. I dont think BF3 will be a console port either, BF1943 will be a console game so why have BF3 a cross platform game? Oh and BFBC2 console aswell.

Its going to be pretty epic, i hope the old army vs army tournements will be playing this! wooohoo nothing better than structured game play!

Theyre only fixing now an issue that has plagued bf2 (june 2005) since its release, says it all.
