Battlefield 2 is the game that truely got me involved in PC gaming but has become old and I am starting to drift back to consoles.

Once this arrives I will upgrade my PC once more and game on!

Came from my PS2 to this, never touched the insides of a PC at this point. Had to upgrade graphics card for parents PC to play it. Happy days....

Surely they won't take a step backward. It is against any dev's natural instinct. If anything I would assume 64 players for pc only? Maybe i'm not cynical enough

EA should make this a PC exclusive.

Everyone knows that Battlefield is a PC game, not a console game.

If it's not 64 players i will go mental! (Unless it's higher then that )

I think it will be a PC exclusive as they are trying to hit a different market on consoles and compete with the modern warefare series which are much faster and forgiving.

Also Battlefield 2 sold great and still has a large following so Battlefield is a no brainier for a "Full" PC version with maybe some dodgy torn apart ports for consoles.

BF series should stick to what they're good at and what made them famous namely the original and BF2, not some shoddy TF2 rip off or some silly console port. It's all about the vehicles, 64 player and sniping

Won't be out for at least a year probably 2. Great news really as the BF2 community is still peaking & this will rev the players up for commitment to real time battles, League play etc
So many people came back to BF2 this year that there is definately another year or 2 of busy BF2 servers to play on. Great news for me as my main gaming is still done on 64 man IO BF2 servers/maps.
BF3 has to be PC based as it will have to have at least 64 man maps if not more, I wouldn't be surprised at all if they attempt a 128 man set up with 64 a side. They will certainly have to go a Long way to beat BF2 & stop people from falling back to BF2 when the novelty of BF3 wears off. It can't just be new vehicles weapons & maps as they tried that with the expansions & it didn't take off. In my mind it has to be more players.
