I may avoid it over the weekend and play BF3 instead with the open beta being released today, then go back to it on Monday.

Nope, just the holding screen while they roll out the open beta.

No but....

We are preparing for the Open Battlefield 4 Beta. Until the Beta is live, you will not be able to access the Battlefield 4 section of Battlelog.

Same thing, just it's now open to people who weren't in the closed beta as well.

We had early access mate... now anyone can play it from today.

As for someone elses question... the beta ends on the 15th of Oct.

I think it just means any noob can now access and try BF4, as opposed to the 'elite' players that had Prermium

(That is what I am telling myself anyway)

It is a shame that the weekend will probably have higher than normal lag, hackers and kids (speculation)

All pre-orders come with the China Rising dlc. So wherever you can find the cheapest one I guess. The only benefits with the digital deluxe version were early access to the beta (nearly over) & 3 gold battlepacks.
