Battlefield 4 Thread ~ Server details in opening post ~

Yup getting the same, thinking of ditching the game until it's fixed if at all.

It's really frustrating playing and crashing every god damn game.

It's always the sound loop and ctrl+alt+del job as well.

This is my experience also. My crash always has the sound loop and needs to be killed in task manager. It's now happening to me nearly every game. I'm doing well to get a whole round in if it's high tickets. It's crashing on loading and during play. I'm really starting to get sick of not being able to just sit and play it and also losing the kills I've racked up during games. Hopefully they fix this soon. If it weren't for the crashes I'd be quite enjoying it.

I bought the DVD version of BF4 standard from Tesco, and the product page said that the China Rising DLC is included but I can't see any mention of it in "My Games" in Origin.

Does anyone know how I can confirm that the DLC will be available to me upon release?

PS. Please add me if you'd like to play - "thewantedZA" :)

thing is with any gamers especially pc gamers we rage hard !

people are saying this is broke that is broke how many have actually done everything asked in the correct manner then tried again?

also its not like its new for eg cod 4 wasnt fixed until 3 or 4 months after release there weere many issues and is still one of the best fps games now online and will be for years.

i had issues like others and i tried many fixes. i had tried it on win7 and win 8 and 8.1.

what i ended up doing and it has mainly fixed my crashes was to totally wipe everything connected with the game and start again. this has basically fixed my game and i can play literally all day and no crashes other than serverside which isnt my end and cant be solved.

serverside issues arnt new either bfbc2 exactly the same as anyone who ran them will tell you.

so you have a very popular game so you will have people with issues. those having mass issues i would reinstall everything related and try again. win 8 is better and 8.1 has no performance over 8.0 so upto you.

I loved that game, great maps and destruction. Also the crashes were like clockwork, 1st game ok, 2nd crash, then ok after that until you turned it off.

Happy days.

This is the thing though - they still haven't fixed things from and or learned from BF2/BC2/BF3 - if it was their first game or an earlier game like COD4 (which was in a much better state at release even if there were some bugs) it would be more excusable.

BTW don't start saying its fixed too early - for the first ~3 days of playing I didn't get a single crash, etc. everything was stable, then on the 4th or 5th day it went totally to pot for no apparent reason crashing every 5 minutes, now its back to so so stable I can sometimes play 10-12 matches in a row no problem other times crashing every couple of level loads.

EDIT: I'm pretty sure the problems (aside from people with unstable overclocks as BF4 hits the system hard) is mostly due to a problem with the browser plugin talking to the game process and some sound related bugs and neither due to the player's PC setup.

I agree same here.

funny though.. I'm really starting to enjoy this game now though. I think they have addressed some of the problems from B3.. apart from too many vehicles .. and they are useless.. not much fun to use.

Vehicles useless? loooool

you missed bf2 from that list.

I have decided LMGs are totally and utterly USELESS in normal mode.

Unless you are using a rail gun accurate high RPM carbine might as well not play. Even when you get the drop, anyone with a carbine will down you no matter what. Total waste of time.
