Battlefield 4 Thread ~ Server details in opening post ~

Lol what a ****ing joke their response, yeah how are those people experiencing constant crashes and a ton of other infuriating stuff going to play the game let alone "enjoy" it during that double xp event?!?!

Game has been out for over a month now?? And DICe haven't fixed a single problem except reduce the server crashes, make the netcode a bit more consistent and introduce new bugs i.e. blur thing........

And yet people still defend DICE & EA  This is exactly why no one should buy any extras i.e. premium until they sort the game out first.

Unfortunately they are too busy working on those DLC packs instead of fixing their game, the fact that they "accidentally" released china rising weapons proves exactly what they were working on..... EDIT: oh and not to mention have started the hype train for their second DLC pack..............

Now with the PS 4 and xbox one launched, I will be very surprised if they can get problems fixed/improve stuff quickly i.e. within the next few weeks, considering they have 5 platforms to support now and last time I checked they were also riddled with problems........

Now you get to lose double the amount of XP you usually lose when you crash. What's not to like?

Pretty much par for the course for BF4 :| I kind of wish I didn't actually enjoy playing it when stuff actually works as some of the design aspects and decisions on how mechanics work are utterly pants on head retarded.
The bf games of late do have a kind of masochistic thing about them lol. Theyre buggy as hell, we get frustrated but come back again. I loved the early cod games, (upto mw1) after that they became as stale as two week old bread. Bf4 i really enjoy, but it still doesnt compare to bad company 2 for me. The supposed console game, heck even moh 2010 ran better, great graphics, great hit reg. Just a shame it was so boring.

Played all night, no crashing here. I would honestly love to know why some have so many issues and others dont.

Its completely random for me - I've played so far tonight without any real crashing but at any moment it will got crazy without being able to play for more than 5 minutes tops between crashes for awhile.

The crashes do happen an awful lot for some users tbh. Luckily i havent had many of late. I remember in bf3, which had it's issues at the start too. Quite a lot of people wouldnt say they had issues which were extremely common, possibly out of purchase justification. Bf3 was a total bug fest for me personally, but so far bf4 hasnt been too bad tbh. Few disconnects, sound bug a few times and closing the client when joining a game. But they dont happen too often. All in all im pretty pleased with the game. I just wish i had a better gpu set up to run it nicely.

It’s very randomn but the most well known crash is the sound loop freeze. The other common one is an all out server crash. Oh did i mention the loss of sound in one map?

Just experienced a 'dodgy' player.

I was unloading on an enemy soldier stood in the doorway of a bunker on Zavod 311. I must have hit him around 10 times. He turned, shot and killed me. He also had 100% health left.

Does a 82.21% accuracy with the DBV-12 sound legit to you? I do realise it's a shotgun. I was a fair distance from him so he'd do well to 1 shot me with one of those. Player has an overall accuracy of 5.94% so far in 67 hours of BF4.

Of course it may have just been the dodgy hit reg again.

You can even app crash before next map is loaded. All these problems have happened more than once to each of us in the clan.

Does this effect onboard soun or add in cards mate? Or just a game bug. Im currently using onboard, which is rubbish for such a high end board. So im thinking of sticking my xonar DX pcie card back in. Problem with it though is that it has to be jammed between my gpu's, one of which runs pretty hot already.

me and two of my mates all have same sound card

2 of us can play fine he cant. hes tried everything his game just closes down . ive had the odd looping sound crash but i think thats just cause the game crashed and the sound is looping not the sound is looping caused the crash.

there are definite sound issues still so you cant rule anything out yet. trying to get the mortars fixed at the minute :p

I've got 84.11% accuracy (with quite a few kills) with the QBS-09 shotgun so sounds fairly legit for a shotgun to me. The rest of that sounds like the BS netcode at play - certain players seem to be favored by it repeatedly probably due to having one of the higher pings on the server.

Tempted to try my dolby dongle see if it works any better with the game.

EDIT: Seems to reduce the amount of missing sounds on some maps but doesn't entirely fix it, makes it a little more playable though and has better stereo seperation though surround is still pretty meh.

Fair enough. I get paranoid when I experience one of those 'wtf' moments. :p

Also, why does the Coyote RDS actually have a white dot? Is it changeable? The videos I've seen of it all seem to have the white dot. I don't know how people can use that as it's often easily lost amongst a light background.

Finally, is there any difference between the basic suppressor and the LS06 suppressor?

We all have pci soundcards, I have an xfi
Supposedly on the maximus 6 formula the onboard audio is meant to be a major plus point. Tbh for a £260.00 motherboard thats an insult. Cant understand why asus cant stick a slightly cut down version of one of their excellent xonar cards on a board like this. If i can sort out a cooling solution my DX will be going back in very quickly.

Out of interest, those that have the sound loop crash, what sound card do you have?

Me, i've got a Creative XFI Titanium HD and have not had it happen to me.

E: Good game with Nexus and co just now. :)
