Battlefield 4 Thread ~ Server details in opening post ~

Doesn't run as bad as I thought from everything I read on here.

Mostly maxed out at 1440p. Runs well enough, mostly maxed.

Only had one crash, which was when exiting game.

Sure, there definitely some bugs need working on, but not too bad.

Though I musty get my mic set up.

And I really do suck at it right now.

Crashes like the one you describe could be your memory overclock - horizontal and vertical lines with varying coloured backgrounds across the full screen. If it's Elpida memory on your card I wouldn't be surprised. Try dropping it to 1350mhz and see if that makes a difference. That's still lots of bandwidth. Also, 1.2v is quite high for 1075. I'd expect 1.175-1.185v is needed max.

Hi, I had a bouple of the stats wrong, as was at work on my mob.

the real stats are

core 1200 mV
+20%
core 1090 mHz
mem 1380

I did turn the core and mem down a little ater you said, and it hasnt crashed in the last 2 games. will give it a hammering tonight to see how it goes.

anything setting would you recommend please?

(with the gpu tweeked, what card would it be compared to now?)

Would there be any need for me to overcklock my cpu for bf4? Its running at clock speed and overclocks itself to 3.9 I think. Im happy the way it is but wonder if it could be what is causing my stuttering. Id really rather not unless it was necessary. Specs in sig.

Absolutely. If you have a nice cooler go for it, it's a free performance boost and it is totally worth it.
 
Wow, every game is constantly letting me play 5 minutes and then a freeze and audio loop. Trying to upgrade the drivers now... its driving me nuts.
 
It was supposed to be overclocked by the shop when it was built. Truth be told I really dont know what im doing which is why I was wondering if it was necessary.
 
If you have an Asus board downlaoad AI Suite 2 or 3 and use the Auto Overlock function that comes with it, you can either chose Fast or Extreme and it does it all itself. Took my CPU from 3.5 to 4.2 stable. Free power upgrade afterall.

No i prefer to try and stay at a stable 120, it dips now and again, but is constant for the most part. :)

I only have Tex filtering and Terrain Dec on ultra.

Thought i can run it on ultra if i want, id rather be able to see as much as i can. :)

I do, Its a 920 D0, an overclocked bundle from here back in 09. No buddy, not that i notice or can tell, I did actually ask that very thing on here before i got the 780 and it was a unanimous no it wouldn't, not at 4Ghz.

Tbh, I'm itching to get a new MB/CPU/Ram combo but when this is still doing what it does like it is..... :)

Will probs do something in the new year, new SSD, Win8, etc...
 
The good news this evening is that I managed to unlock the L85A2.

The bad news is that I keep getting a screen freeze with a sound loop while in game. You can alt tab out of it and close BF down from task manager.

Great CPU. If it works, why change it, other than ePeen. I imagine if you went SLI you'd need more.

If BF4 is looking lovely and is playable above 60fps... enjoy!

Play BF4, destroyed 5 tanks and SOUND LOOP CRASH

No Paracel Storm and Zavod 311, the first in rush the second conquest.

First time it has done it to me. Rather annoyed to as I was doing well in both games.

Why do I never get crashes when I'm doing badly???
 
Just can't be arsed playing Dawnbreaker when the enemy is just full of vehicle whores. It's a bad enough map as it is without that.

Having spotting turned off didn't help either. Won't be playing hardcore again.
