Wow, ******* shocking from DICE. What happened to having the patch out this week as they said?

We are verifying the upcoming PC patch and making sure it is good to go. We are aiming to get this patch out the week of Dec 2. Right now, we don’t have a set date for it, but here’s what it will include. Stay tuned for more updates in the Battlefield 4 Control Room.

PC Game Update Notes
-Removed the blur effect on soldiers that appeared when Commanders were using EMP attacks
-Fixed the audio bug where audio sometimes randomly dropped out while playing on certain multiplayer maps (typically Golmud Railway and Hainan Resort)
-Fixed the "one-hit kill bug" where occasionally damage from a single bullet was applied multiple times
- Fixed a common crash that would occur when exiting from the Single Player Campaign to Main Menu
-Tweaked the network and computer performance screen to show proper values. Players can now test their computer and network connection and get recommendations if they need to adjust something to improve their gameplay experience.

So that could be 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th or 6th of December. I haven't played this for over 4 days 'knowing' that the promised patch would appear this week. Thanks for ******* nothing DICE.

Can barely remember now, think it was about £40 or so which i paid back a couple of weeks later. The community forgave me for my indiscretion, though it was not intentional on my part, more a heat of the moment thing after some unexpected events happpend. It did bring about one good thing as well as perhaps the biggest mistake i ever made though, handing over control to Joe which proved an extremely unpopular and bad decision on my part. But thankfully we're over that now. Well, some of us are. :)

As for Kun, Joe will be forever mad at Kun because kun calls a spade a spade and had joes card marked from the very start. As it turns out he was spot on.
 
I may as well get a few games in tonight seeing as the patch will no doubt turn up on 6th December. I can't wait til then. I need my fix.

DICE are hilarious in only sorting out the sound fixes on Golmud and Lancang at the same time as China Rising comes out (for Premium members). Hardly anyone will play those maps when the expansion comes out anyway. They should have been sorted weeks ago. Maybe they didn't consider it to be a big problem.

didn't realise DICE has patched in the handbag launcher ;) still confused about the drama :p

regarding crashing, at first I never crashed, then a few patches in I was crashing all the time, now it's pretty damn rare, usually something mad. think the other night I crashed when I tried to deploy the exact moment that someone tried to rez me.

It is rather unfortunate (and annoying when it happens) but given it's a map-specific bug, the people they need to sort it out ar most likely the same people they use to sort out the final bugs in map packs etc.

Given that the map packs have well-publicised release dates and the patch is a 'when it's ready' thing, I can understand why the timing works out as it has.

Doesn't make it any less annoying, obviously, but at least it's not insane.

Edit: Should get an hour or so in tonight, before it's time to make dinner and box up a few hundred books. Sigh. What happened to the personal robot servants the future promised us?

Second edit: Nobody's posted in this thread for like twenty minutes? Did you all get banned or are you on your way home from work? It's spooky.

I think I remember killing you and you being concerned at the time.

Personally I think voip has a lot to do with it. On bf3 clearly in some instances being on voip actually meant you had an advantage as your opponent could die before they saw you firing. Hopefully this is not the case now and your own lag counts against you not in your favour.

I actually meant this test:

It continuously monitors your ping and will help pin point if your line has noise. Great for gaming as it runs for as long as you need. I got virgin media cable and this test revealed that my line was so bad (jitter/packet loss during peak hours) that I got rid of it and later adopted BT Infinity which has been the best internet I have ever used with the best support out of any of the broadband providers.

It's up to you but I stay away from 64 player servers in general. Bad hit reg and lag / server crashes seem to be more prevalent on these servers. That I try to exclusively play UK servers.

Seriously need help guys I can not get the dam game to work at all I have tried everything I can think of but I keep getting the same thing come up every dam time.



No matter what I try it keeps doing the same thing and its really sta5rting to p me off. PLEASE HELP
