Engineer.........

We have a new expression now, we are not "raging" we are "doing a wndsr" - I got very bad last night, whole sentences with nothing but rage, even muted my mike to rage!

You'll disown me now wndzr, used the M26 Mass, got some kills, felt dirty.

Haha, doing a wndsr - I love it.

Mate you were disowned last night when I saw you play engineer.

I couldnt aim for toffee and I never had a chance to use the glitched Mass on BF3 so I was making up for it.

Sorry I am back to my medic way from now on, with the occasional bit of stealthy recon thrown in for good measure.

Finally a bit of sense from you! Medic is the way forward.

Just got my KDR to 3.0, woo!

I'm getting close to achieving a 1.00 ratio, which while crap to most people, its a big achievement for me personally.

I've also been watching a few good BF4 players on YouTube, just by watching how they play, I'm beginning to see myself get better. I've also changed my mouse settings, by using http://donewmouseaccel.blogspot.co.uk/2010/03/markc-windows-7-mouse-acceleration-fix.html to get rid of acceleration and I've turned off "mouse precision" from CP. Doing so has resulted in me now picking up the player in my crosshairs so much faster, I can actually feel myself getting the first shot away rather accurately to. I'm also more confident playing on the ground as opposed to being a vehicle whore for safety and it's a great feeling.

Tony, what mouse DPI and in game sens do you use? Lower sens means more accuracy :D

I'm captain of Team Symthic and we have the Level 10vs10 cup today, in our practice match against Exertus eSports last night we beat them 2-1 (and on tickets by a long way) who are pretty much the top team in europe in BF4 atm. Symthic are mixed NA / EU so for EU comps I have been invited to play for Exertus EU as 1337 pro infantry LOLOLOLOL

its a Razor Diamondback, I believe its a 1600dpi mouse. Had it for years and years. I use 6 in Windows mouse sensitivity and game sensitivity of 20. I tried to lower to 10 ingame sensitivity but it felt very slow.

I'm thinking of buying this mouse in the new year though, any good? http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=KB-233-LG&groupid=702&catid=23&subcat=1257

Well, I use 450 DPI and have 10% in game, honestly, I'd try it again and just stick with it for the day even if at first you don't get a long. I went from similar settings to you ages ago and it only took me a day to get used to it.

edit..that mouse is a classic, but WOW the price, I bought my old MX518 for £20 (essentially same mouse). If I were going to spend £50 I'd get another Zowie Ec2 / AM / FK or Razer Deathadder.

I just got an SSD and reinstalled Windows and now my game is stuttering like hell, even though I am getting the same framerate as before. I am using 13.11 BETA 9.5 could this be the problem? Anyone experiencing something like this?

I'm absolutely sick to the back ******* teeth of low skill idiots running around with their pump action shotguns. It's pathetic and they have absolutely no skill at all.

On top of that - I'm sick of being in a squad with 4 bloody Recon players with ******* sniper rifles. It's astonishing just how ridiculous some people are. Seriously - do we REALLY need Recon or Engineer on bloody Lockers?

Absolutely atrocious.

How the ****? at 400 dpi on mouse and 10% ingame you barely move. What in OMGWTF bumpintoperson turnaround and shoot situations? Or you switch from 400dpi in open field etc to 1000ish in cq?

I use 400dpi & 10% for everything bar tank where I crank it up too the dizzying high of 800dpi.

BTW Westie, clap clap for the C4 little bird jet manoeuvre! Bravo

Setting 6, 450dpi, 25% ingame mouse here - perfect (and MarkC's mousefix which is important). Well almost perfect - I can't quite pull a perfect 180 degree flip with my longest normal mouse flick which I have setup in most other FPS games but its the best of any setting for me to track other players and be able to look around and aquire targets efficiently - 10% might be a little better for tracking targets but far too laborious and ineffective for the looking around and quickly aquiring the target.

I tend to be a fairly run and gun player though picking targets on the move and dodging in and out of engagements rapidly.

EDIT: I usually tend to be the first to get shots on target - even if not quite as accurately as some players I will beat them to getting shots that are effective on target - which is why I really hate the ***** "netcode" in this game that means in many cases you will end up killing and being killed by a player even though you blatantly get the drop on them - messes with my game style quite a bit :(

Firsty, you get used to it and can be far more accurate. Only ever use 450DPI.

Secondly, we better find something to argue about quick or people will think it's not either of us typing these messages

And finally, Team Symthic would love some support tonight in our attempt to win the LevelBF 10vs10 Commander Cup to be broadcast live on http://www.twitch.tv/levelbf. We'll be up against the top NA, EU and SA teams. Broadcast starts at 6pm our time :D

I'll pop in for a watch about 18:30ish, see if I can pick up any more tips.

Biggest tip I've picked up on from watching anyone playing this game is that for any game mechanic your aware of assume there is a completely arbitary, borderline exploit, completely non-intuiative way of going about it thats 10x more effective than the way you'd naturally do it :( for instance remapping certain jet functions to keys so you can fly them almost (pretty much exactly like) like a spectator freelook cam completely breaking/bypassing any flight physics :(
