The pump action shotguns do take skill. They are lethal at close range, but only if your aim is good, you have to hit them dead centre in order to get the kill.

Your just mad because they have a low time to kill meaning they may be able to kill you quicker than you can kill them, so even if you got the jump on them, they can still win a firefight
 
^^ Just seen the post your quoting - depending on game mode Recons (sans sniper) play a HUGE role on Locker. Engineers less so but while a bit lame they have a good line in clearing bottlenecks.

+1, Shotgun used in the right map is a killer and don't forget you have to be pretty close as well to get the kill.:D

I love your server but hate the sniper limit.

1. It doesn't work, snipers use squads other than echo squad and apart from spamming SNIPERS USE ECHO SQUAD ONLY every 5 seconds whether you are a sniper or not, nothing happens.
2. Echo squad gets filled with BF2 medics who have a chip on their shoulders towards snipers, therefore if it were enforced, there would be 0 snipers on one team and 5 on the other...if those 5 are leet, the match ends up very one sided.
 
I use 7 in windows, 900dpi, on-the-fly sensitivity, and 500hz polling rate.

There are custom X/Y settings for sensitivity in the Razr control panel but it doesn't save them, it resets them both to 100% even when you load your save, it just seems to think it knows better, sadly.

I don't see the problem at all. They are weapons in the game, why shouldn't people use them?
 
Recons that sit miles away from the action annoy me, especially come the end of the round they're something like 4-3 and haven't capped a flag at all. Recons that move up and locate just outside flags and pick people off are better but now that a Recon can have C4 and there's such a good selection of great weapons then a Recon can be very useful. TUGS and motion balls on Locker along with a Carbine can make capping and defending flags a whole lot easier.

It was almost pointless playing anything else on the server we were on last night due to the fast/instant vehicle respawn.

On a side note I can definitely say I was killed my Nexus more than anyone else last night. Didn't matter if there were 15 other enemies in an area shooting at me Nexus would always get the kill shot. lol

Procon was down all day for this specific server so we couldnt work on it.
Changed the server recently into a HC TDM server. The sniperlimiter settings were copy pasted from the 64man CQ large server (therefor echo squad etc)

Currently trying to get an aswer to change the config so we can set 2 or 3 snipers a team, and I guess the squadlimitation removed.

Please understand it is very hard to effectively limit snipers in this game (and BF3).

CQ247 was always against limiting any class but the amount of useful (important) snipers in BF4 is insane and ruins the fun for others. Mucho respect to aggressive recons that PTFO.
No respect whatsoever for people in base/roof not capping a single point and 8x / 20x scopes.

So give it a day or 2 and the limiter will be adjusted for TDM 32 man
 
Shame theres no way (that I know of) so you can make it where people have to get a certain number of kills or some kind of achievement combo in a round before the sniper rifles are unlocked for them for that round. Then atleast they'd have to put themselves in harms initially.

Right, not long moved house, so I've finally set up internet access and bought BF4 last week ((got my priorities right :D ) So just starting to get into it (i did play BF3 a bit). Tried CQ247 server the other night and had some good games in a squad with a couple of their members.

So do all you guys use OcUK as a tag to identify each other? and do you just play in any of the servers listed in the OP or do you congregate on a particular one?

I've added myself to that google docs database so feel free to add me as I prefer playing in a squad as it gets a bit boring on my own :(
 
My game crashed with a similar error when I had an overclock on my graphics card even though it was stable everywhere else. If it is OC'd above above stock remove the OC.
