I have switched back to xfactors settings, mix of high, medium, low, only thing I have changed is post processing, that is of and mesh set to ultra (surprised he hasn't set it to ultra tbh)
Also trying out that config for max FPS, tried setting it to 59.46 or something around that but tearing was terrible so tried 75 (recommended on BL forums) and tearing is gone
So far it seems to work well.......
balance is shocking, its normally the good players that get moved as well. You play lights out for a side, help to achieve your side a good position on the battlefield, then get moved to the loosing side and all your hard work is lost.
Indeed, I hate playing on TE servers for that very reason, they constantly move players around and it is always me!
Although for that round on siege there, the team I got switched to were starting to cap most of the flags so there was no need for balance (in the end we won by 246 tickets).
Best thing about hardcore: DMRs are no longer "Sorry teammates, I'm just using it for the unlocks" weapons.
Worst thing about hardcore: softcore has conditioned me to stand behind tanks while repairing them so I'm protected from incoming bullets, and if the driver reverses I get pushed back rather than left behind. If you try this in hardcore (or real life I guess), it makes a sad, damp sound and you have to respawn
haha true that! No way could I play hardcore in a tank with my repair bitches, I would run over them every time lol
In fact I would probably run my entire team down
Interesting that you comment Nexus, that you don't like the very implements that have swung the balance back in favor of infantry that you so desperately wanted in BF3.
We had many a discussion on that subject last year, and yet here we are both agreeing that MBT LAW and the rest of the crap they used to turn the vehicles into vulnerable flaky objects is wrong.
I think DICE have done a good with the balance between infantry and vehicle, still a few things that need to be tweaked though i.e.
- jets [once AA is nerfed, they will rape with ease again]
- attack helis [fly like crap and are just crap in general, can only use them on two maps, dawnbreaker and siege]
- little bird [the engis and repairing thing]
- aa [activ radar mainly]
Flares need to reload much faster, the amount of stinger faggots is
****ing annoying.
IMO there are way too many vehicles for most of the maps too and some vehicles need to removed from maps i.e. jets on dawnbreaker, boat on floodzone....
Vehicles are still very powerful in the right hands but can be taken down with ease when the enemy team are organised, that is why I hate the MBT law:
- fast reload
- iirc you get a fair bit of ammo
- most importantly the stupid "fire and forget" in the general direction of a vehicle
and combined with roof campers, it is a
****ing pita.
The main thing that has made the difference for balance, which I love is:
- limited ammo (jets need this)
- RPG's actually being good
- and mainly the maps, way more cover for infantry
- you can't spot as much (only applicable to aircraft really though)
