Battlefield: Bad Company!

Terrible lag on PSN all weekend made it impossible for me to play it on my PS3. Yet i had no problems playing on live with my 360.
Anyone experienced any problems on PSN this weekend?

yup heard rumours of 256 player servers should be fun. also the pc gets battlefield heroes as well

No that wont happen imo BF is arcade which is lower numbers and smaller melee type battles, 256 players would play about as well as those 64 player cs servers do

I dont think bf heroes is 64 player, more like 30 odd?

Yeah, there was quite a few laggy games out there, but I still always found a lag-free one after a bit of effort.
Hopefully there'll be some sort of server list thingy coming with the conquest add-on, also the demo gets switched off this week (I think), so that should speed things up a bit.

do you mean bad as in realistic or bad as in the game is poor?

what i mean is i find the minimum/maximum sensitivity to be really extreme, i have my sensitivity on the lowest setting and still find it way too fast if i go anywhere near the edges of the analogue stick.

also vertical and horizontal axis has different sensitivity settings which you cannot alter and theres seems to be some sort of crazy acceleration over the whole thing (though this could just be an illusion because of the extreme min/max settings).

I have had this game for about 2 weeks and I have yet to open it! I have been playing a load of Call Of Duty 4.

Should I open it? Are Should I save my money and bring it back? What am I missing out on?

Poor as in inaccurate by design. It's not a bad design, or a realistic one, but a different approach.

Edit: I'm talking about bullet accuracy not aiming, sorry for the confusion.

I've actually found it to suit me better than any other console FPS.
It probably all depends on your technique.

yea youre probably right, i hope they bring out some customisation options in a future update as i really enjoy it but put off at the same time :(

The demo gives you pretty much the whole experience so try that first.

Alternatively, Sony could bring out a controller without a poxy dead area.
It's the only thing that I find tricky about FPS games with a pad, those tiny adjustments you sometimes need to make as a sniper making a long distance shot.

sorry didnt mean heroes would be 256 players, but there is a strong chance of 128 or 256 players on bf3 they could have done if for bf2 but decided against it
