to be honest it is not slow what you have got but the res your playing at is top end country for graphics cards

i wouldnt play at that res on anythnig less than a crossfired good set up or a 5850 minimum

Tried installing the passworded rar from the german site... Looks legit and all, but when I click Install it says "Please insert Battlefield Bad Company 2 Beta CD into C: Drive"

It's downloaded and installed alright (the torrent version). I've not got round to testing it yet though as my guild stole me for Ice Crown Citadel on WoW.
