Battlefield

Nothing official been said about Battlefield "3", i would think a different PC title is going to be released before Battlefield "3" called Mirrors Edge as mentioned above and Battlefield "3" is gonna be realeased a few months later on the same game engine.

But meh, i have no crystal ball.

Its said to be on bad company engine, with bits of mirrors edge used (the running side etc to give it more feel)
 
Although I would absolutely love to play BF3, what the hell's happened to Battlefiend Heroes? That was supposed to be out a couple of months ago; come on chaps, there are only three maps and you're using the BF2142 engine; what work is there to do?
 
Executive Producer Ben Cousins mentioned that there were other projects in the works and that we haven’t forgot about the hardcore PC group. That’s about all I can say.
 
Been a BF player since the series came out, and still playing it. Whilst i wait for BF3 im playing Project Reality Mod which adds quite a few nice features even if it still using the old engine. Worth a go if you have patience and a microphone.

Why is everyone talking like they know something?

No official announcements, not even any real hints, only dodgey "leaked info" (unless I've missed something). With everything Dice has going on, it wouldn't surprise me to see the next proper BF installment in two or three years.
