BC2 BETA... Your thoughts and SCREENSHOTS of it

I didn't thing DX11 was working for the beta? In the same way that HIGH settings only actually loads MEDIUM textures, as HIGH ones are not in the beta yet.

Its working in the beta, one of the rendering guys pointed out that the shadows are smoother in dx11 mode, apparently thats the only thing it effects. Just a gimmicky implementation of it so they can have "dx11 enabled" on the box. Doesn't even support tesellation.

I thought they cut out the high textures and most of the DX11 stuff to keep the beta filesize down.

The high res textures, DX11 will be in the retail. Or so I heard anyway.

It was mentioned on tweet i recall seeing that the beta only uses Medium textures and the retail will have full.

This video will show you what you can expect from tessellation.

This video a good one to show you the differences of it on dx11 and not supported on anything below.

I think you should be able to pickup dogtags from any person you killed if you get to their body before it disappears. Also the taking of dogtags should prevent the player being revived.

They are there for fun, knifing someone is meant to be a challenge (it generally was in the first one) and i was a great way for friends on oppisite teams to compete against each oher by tryig to get the others tags. By making tags something you can get for doing just abouit anything it entirely removes their worth, and as for the not getting revived idea...

Why is the bullet drop act soo weird at times, im aiming up hill as a sniper aiming slightly above thier head and miss, lower it to where thier head is and get a headshot, do the same for another person and missed had to aim above the head.

I find that the hit boxes for the sniper are sometimes well off, theres been so many times when i'm so confused how it didn't hit.

The sniping system seems to have changed since the beta was released, first couple of days i was getting tons of kills. Lately im lucky if i can get 3 or 4 kills for 20 shots, even if all the targets are stationary. Ive noticed the same thing with the bullet drop, sometimes aiming above them is a miss as is aiming right on them from range.

I find the bullet drop is dependant on your alignment to the target.

e.g. If you are on a hill, aiming down, or below a hill aiming up, the bullet drop seems to be less noticible

Its only when the bullet needs to travel in a straight horizontal line for some distance that it seems to take affect

I know what you mean. The only thing I can think of is that the movement of the scope also affects the bullet's path so when it's moving upwards the bullet lands a little higher and vice versa, seeing as a tiny movement in the barrel over a long distance will cause a drastic change in where it hits, but that seems a bit too realistic for a fairly arcadey shooter.
