BC2 BETA... Your thoughts and SCREENSHOTS of it

The full game better not be so sniper friendly.

Good luck doing the objectives when theres 12 sniper crosshairs pointed at the bomb targets.

Same reasons I don't play bf2 far too camper friendly.

Every game I go in there's people camping by the spawn point on point A you spawn you die rinse repeat.

Boring.

at the mo im finding it hard to get into, the game and movements feel very clunky to me. Used to play BF2 and it didnt feel clunky to me. The mouse movement is the worst, almost like its fast and reactive at times and slow and clunky at others....

Though I guess these are all things that can be sorted during the beta so fingers crossed :)
 
Skeptical at first but now I love it, the effects, animation and atmosphere is second to none. Server browser has been fixed for me and there is no lag on the multiplay servers, I would also recommend people run in DX9 mode as the game is so much smoother in heavy action moments, the loss of graphical quality is not noticeable to me, you can't run AA in DX9 though.

are you running your settings at high?
 
Now playing it on 16Q and 16xAA (the two top settings for AA and anisotropic). Runs perfectly and looks much better. I have a prt scrn but when i paste it into paint it comes out as a white screen, any ideas ?

Print Screen often doesn't work in-game. Try Fraps. Or maybe BFBC2 has it's own screenshot key? (F12?)
 
Cancelled my pre order, played the beta, bored me feels like i'm playing same old battlefield type game with not much changed.
 
So its not based on GFX performance?

I'm running a Q6700 at 3.4GHz and a 4850 512mb at 1680x1050 but if I use anything other than low settings on DX10 then the game becomes sluggish.

There's an ini or CFG (can't remember which right now) that refers to directx. Default is auto, set to 9 for force DX9.

My specs:

Q9550 @ 2.8
4GB Corsair Dominator PC8500
8800GTS 640 clocked to 650/1000.

Runs fine (~40fps) on stock medium settings with textures, effects and AF set to highest via advanced (set to medium then change the advanced).

I am loving it, i repeat I am loving it!

The last time I looked that was the only qualifier I needed to buy a game so hurrah to DICE.

Maps could be a bit bigger but as for gameplay and the destruction of houses and stuff - fantastic Hurrah for Havok, Hurrah for Steam, Hurrah for i7....Hurrah for the weekend!
