BC2 BETA... Your thoughts and SCREENSHOTS of it

Works great with DX 9 and the extra command to make full use of quad core.

Mine won't update though, it says the updater can't find the patch because the server might be down? Anyone else having this problem?

I had that... I just used the MCE version and it worked fine.

Can't say I noticed a blind bit of difference with the new patch though.
 
Even after the patch I still lag to ****, I really can't enjoy the game if I can't ****ing hit anyone.
All I do is rubberband around, and occasionally get lucky, it makes flying impossible, though.
 
It seems only medics can go prone.

You got to love bf2 feedback, constantly complaining about claymores from medics, so now only medics can go prone and have a usefull secondary such as the medikit.
 
Real shame they have basicly made any fourth or higher weapon unavailable to unlock. Had the GoL in the ps3 beta and some-one even had the barrett unlocked :(
 
well the patch as certainly fixed mouse sensitivity no longer feels like I'm using a vat of treacle for a mouse mat.

do they go prone insted of crouch?

If not how'd you go prone, i couldn't hit **** with that mg crouched.
 
When i try using DX9 mode in Win 7, it plays in windowed mode and the crosshair is 'off' by about 5mm.
When i try applying the update, it says it can't find a file.

*EDIT* I found the problem was because the games install directory was on another partition seperate to the C drive. After installing into the default directory, it updates fine, works in DX9 mode full screen AND the Steam overlay works. YAY

When i try the game in XP, i can't move forwards or backwards.

same as, was mental, had it at full and usually crank it down in most games (limp wrists)

pointer x-hair off on menus etc in dx9

still a good game and for a 'free' beta pretty darn good so far
 
Really enjoying this, its great fun when you get in a lag free game. Updated my drivers & set it to DX9 & it runs great :)
Cant get it to patch or use all cpu cores but never mind.
