Watched the coverage for the first time today, couldn't stand it. Tony Green is just clueless, struggling to talk about very average darts. There's also zero atmosphere! It's just people milling about, in the pub slightly earlier than usual. I'm proud to be a Sky subscriber, the PDC was excellent again this year!

Absolute rubbish to be honest. The averages do include missed darts at doubles.
Does include missed doubles. The players are of a massive difference in quality too. I've never seen so many 41's, 45's and 60's as I have in the last few days watching the BDO, in PDC it's a surprise when it's not atleast a 100 from players.

And yes, the standard of darts has been absolutely shocking; several matches I've watched so far, seems a struggle for them to even make a ton in 3 darts never mind hitting 180s. As for Tony Green commentating, I can only stand him as he was on Bullseye, and that was ace. David Croft, the other young sounding chap is useless, trying hopelessly to inject some life into the whole thing but sounding embarrassing instead.
The PDC was so much more lively and exciting, and the standard of darts was magical in comparison.
Of course, but that's so obvious it goes without saying.
While I agree that the BDO doesn't have quite the same overall quality, it does still have
some good players.
