Be Broadband

One thing I thought was very strange was that the you don't have to put a user name and password in the Modem! I thought that was a bit dodgy but who knows lol!

be is amazing serivce, been with over a year and i download quite abit each month, i left them a week ago to go to o2 BB as i have a o2 mobile so works out £10 a month for up to 16mb and i get about 15mb so im very happy! lets hope o2 dont complain about my downloading though they do offer a 100day money back guarantee if u sign up before the 31st march!#

ohhhhhhhhhhh yeah people r mostly moaning about there dns issues so id advice using opendns like me or get hold of bts dns servers, heres opendns servers for u:

The addresses for Open DNS are:

A lot of people are mentioning downtime with BE. You shouldn't be getting ANY downtime with a decent supplier.

Anyhow - it doesn't matter who you move to, they'll be light years better than tiscali.

I had pretty much 2 and a half weeks out of 4 weeks downtime :( the equipment at the exchange was acting up, it took over 2 weeks for a load of us to get Be to aknowledge the problem and another 4 days to rectify it, by which time I had already migrated.

The first week and a half when it worked was awesome though :)

wow craziness. I sync about 15mbit because my line quality isn't that great.

I have disconnected the orange wire ringer wire from my box....the phone line is about 2 meters long and there isn't one of those iron core things around it. Would I benefit from one of those iron core inductor things?

Another 400 exchanges being updated in the coming months... including mine, and I work for o2 - 20 meg broadband for a fiver? yes please :D
