Post your line stats, that will give some indicationQuestions:
1. Is the only difference between Be Unlimited & Be Pro the upload speed?
2. How is the best way to tell what speed you will get when you sign up? Apparently I'm 5.1km from the exchange and will get 0.5Mb but that's a load of rubbish. I get 3Mb with BT Broadband and that's only ADSL Max. I know I could sign up and find out but if it's the same as the speed I get from BT then I've wasted my time and 4 years I've been with BT which brings my price way down from the advertised price. (I pay £20 for unlimted 8mb, instead of £26)

) but on a side note Be* state How long is the Be contract?
For our Be unlimited and Be pro products, there is no contractual period, we simply ask for 3 months notice in writing to cancel your contract without incurring any additional cancellation charges.
If you choose Be Value, your initial contract period is 1 year. After the first year, we simply ask for 1 months notice in writing to cancel your contract without incurring any additional cancellation charges.
I would say between 3mb and 4mb.Thanks.
Note: My line has been having some problems the past few days. Where I normally see download speeds of 300KB/s I'm seeing a range from 90KB/s to 150KB/s. It's not been stable to say the least.
So you could try it for a few months and if it's not what you where hoping for, go back to BT
I could try it, but I'd lose my discount with them if things went wrong and I decided to go back.
Thanks for the email btw. I'm guessing from the size of this thread you would all recommend Be There over BT? The guy from BT reckons (even though Be There took no personal details) because they asked for a MAC code they'll use ADSL and that ADSL2+ or LLU (forgotten which he said) doesn't support MAC codes. Is talking out of his back end?

My speed is only 2mb. Back to VM it is. Is there anything that might be making it seem like the line is longer than it is?Loss of Framing (Local/Remote): 16 / 0
Loss of Signal (Local/Remote): 4 / 0
