Be Broadband?

Really you didnt read the continually whinging in the Be forums where excessive downloaders were throttled so heavilly that they were all leaving. I had several tickets in with Be about slow down of service at peak periods. Tech support stated that they had a huge influx of users on their service that were using what was considered an excessive ammount of bandwidth and they were taking measures to deal with them. Sure enough they started throttling ports and writing to excessive users. Since then I have never suffered peak period slow down.

So before you choose to flame someone I suggest that you have your facts correct.

I have never had any slow downs even at peak periods? was this for a specific service? IE torrents? browser downloading? Usenet? as all have been fine for me, and iv been with them 2 years.

I probably tranfer about 150gb-200gb per month no problems

@SimonR, care to link us up to the threads? I have access to the Be forums but cannot find a single thread where it's confirmed Be have started throttling users.

Lol, it had nothing todo with excessive downloaders... There was a problem with one of the links/backbone and the whole country pretty much had a what seemed to be a throttled connection.

Be* do not throttle ports and they have never throttled users.

I've been with Be* for over 3 years and I have easily used more than a TB a month.

Get your facts right.

The issue with there network was about 2 to 3 months ago IIRC, could be wrong.

I have Be for around a year now at a guess. Great service, although im not a fan of the supplied router :)

Especially coming from Virgin and paying £37 quid for 20meg
