Be Disconnections

I was having problems 2 weeks ago with not being able to connect for more then 5 mins at a time and I must have had around 20-25 disconnects between 2:30pm-4:00pm.

Switching off gaming mode seemed to solve it and I haven't had a problem since. I doubt it is the same problem you guys seem to have, since my line is complete balls :p but I thought I would share anyway.

Nice attenuation there mate ;) I'd imagine you'd get a higher sync than that looking at your snr. What package are you on?

Be Unlimited, the middle package, up to 24meg. Stones throw away from the exchange but any higher sync speed and the line becomes unstable. This is the sweet spot.

Hi can you explain a little more will i have to buy different cable aswell or simply attach the cable trough the XTE-2005 sorry to be dumb

Don't worry about it. The XTE-2005 is the best micro filter I've ever used. If you have a new style BT socket with a removable lower half you can use the XTE-2005 as a filter directly from the master test socket (where you get the best possible line speed)

No you wont need a new cable, it works like any other ADSL microfilter out there so phone in one side and modem in the other using your existing cables.

While this won't fix the disconnection issue we seem to be suffering it might help you get a few extra mb out of the line. This will improve your ADSL connection much more than a new router.

Does anyone on O2 or Be get disconnected for about 10 - 30 secs at 00:00gmt?

I have had this happen for the past year now, it moved to 01:00bst when the clocks changed and it never seems to flag as a disconnect in the router (DG834 & DG834G) So it is almost as though some part of the O2/Be network stops for a short time.
