Put them in a bag, then dig a hole in the sand (about 4 feet should do it). Carefully stash the bag at the bottom of the hole and quickly fill it in without attracting too much attention.
Once the hole is filled in you need to smooth over the surface so it looks indistinguishable from the rest of the beach. Make sure you don't mark the location with anything which could clue an onlooker in.
Then go and enjoy having a swim etc. When you need to retrieve the items simply dig them up.
