Bear Grylls is crazy.

hell I don't mind him eating the fish, but atleast kill it before you bit chunks out of it, that's just cruel!

Either way, that man is a legend!

damn i missed it :(

Love programs like this, Ray Mears is king though, Bear just shows you rough techniques of how to survive in a emergency situation and how to find civilisation as fast as possible. Ray Mears disappears for weeks.

I know which one od rather survive with though, Ray!

The actual program was clearly set up in areas which was disappointing.

However the fella himself has a pretty impressive CV..Served in 21 SAS, broke his back in 3 places whilst parachuting & then went on to break loads of records.

Impressive stuff, however the program does not do him justice.

I think climbling everest at the age of 23 is more impressive than being in 21 sas (mind you, if he'd been in 22 SAS, it'd be more impressive ;)).

Ive watched the whole series from America, where its called Man Vs. Wild.

Its a really good and entertaining show to watch, however annoying at how set up some of it is.

All about the placement of the camera men really, if Bear can hardly do the stuff and hes a survival expert how are they so close on his heals or above him etc. Probably filmed over the course of days I would imagine.

Also I do not think Bear is a survival expert rather just a face. In the credits there are credits to someone else on the survial aspects!

Still enjoyable to watch though!

^^

Thats not really relative, climbing a mountain with all the equipment ya like or out in the wild if just a knife..... knowing which plants can do what etc. or even how to make fire.

with sashimi - the fresher the better
both true and false. you should ALWAYS get the temperature of the fish BELOW 4C for a day or 2 because there are worms, like there are in any animal, that can seriously do some damage to you if you don't. look on kontraband for sushi worms if u don't believe me

I'm pretty sure 21 sas are taught the same survival stuff as 22. And he knows how to make a fire :p.

What a tool.

He's not a patch on Ray, just some guy who likes drinking shee-ite water and eating alive fish. Shock tactics to get himself known, not "survival-skillz".

My thoughts exactly, why didn't he knock the fish out first etc, imo it wasn't extreme enough for what he/producers thinks is enough for him to get viewers if he killed the fish first. Looks like he is trying to gain a name for his self! Ray ownes his arse with true respect for his enviroment and passion for what he does.
