I appreciate the level of security for the president and how restrictive things are but this episode last night was boring as hell. Basically they walked up a hill, looked at some melting ice, then walked back down a hill. Just pointless really.

Indeed it was just some climate change promo, but I'd rather they never bothered.

Have the Presidential Medical Team removed Bear's tongue from the President's backside yet?

The only Bear within 10 miles that Obama was in danger of being jumped by was the 2-legged one standing next to him.

never liked the guy - always seems fake and takes unnecessary risks (that are also probably staged as he should dead by now).

I like Ray Mears, and don't find him boring at all.

But if it's true that Bear wants to eat everything he sees, it's also true that Mears wants to watch the world burn

I've never seen him in anything where he doesn't set fire to something...

Ray and bear are both interesting. they're two totally different shows though. Ray is generally bush craft and long term survival. Bear is far more about entertainment and extreme survival with no tools/training while you seek rescue. Both have saved peoples lives by them watching the series.

I enjoy watching Ed Stafford.

Films it himself and he does actually get into a bit of trouble and you can see how happy he is when he gets it all sorted

Agree ed Stafford is just awesome. Again totally different sort of program though.

Exactly what me and the Mrs thought. He spent most of the time asking about his girls. Obama wasn't even dressed for the outdoors, he looked like he had a pair of normal trousers on. I'm a bit of a FUB and I could have survived that with Bear
