I grew my beard about 2 years ago as a dare at work, I'm very tempted to ditch the old beard now though, well goatee problem is I'm that use to seeing myself with it I'm a little scared I'll be rather featureless without it!

It's never been a long goatee, never could grow it without it itching or just looking a complete mess but I've grown strangely attached to it! I'm 31 tomorrow though and tempted to shave it off so I look a little younger, vanity! oh vanity etc.

Apart from anything else my skins starting to get dry under it no matter how much or how often I moisturise it..

Wow I sound so damn manly <flex>

I don't have a beard, just rought stubble, basically cos it looks better on me than closely shaved skin and also i'm 27, but when I shave, I look about 18...even got id'd at xmas for booze :p

I had that problem too, hence why I have the beard. Chubby people = younger looking :(

This thread is sexist! ;)

I overheard my boyfriend telling someone that one of the reasons he grew a beard was because his stubble was always scratching my nose raw. Sweet!

Because i cant be ****ed shaving tbh :o

I shave about once every 5 or 6 weeks.
Thats one desposable razor every time i shave and i get them in packs of 10. If i dont need to go anywhere important that pack can last me a year :o

To be honest though if I were a man and had to spend all that time every morning having to shave and risk cutting myself/rashes etc I'd grow a beard.

A big bushy Brian Blessed one and yell 'MORE WINE WENCHES!' at every available opportunity.

i cant have a beard even if i wanted one for 2 reasons...

1, im 23 and cant grow proper facial hair (must be something genetic as my father has the same issue)

2, any facial hair i can grow is red/ginger... now, ive nothing against ginger people, my mothers got red hair herself but when youve got a black head of hair a ginger beard just doesnt look right...

I grew one a couple of years back because I'd run out of razor blades and didn't want to buy any more.

I have a bit of one going on now because I've run out of shaving foam...
This is occasionally the case here, but usually because I can't be bothered with it every morning. I really should shave every day though as I have to go over it about 4 times if I leave it (sometimes a couple of weeks at a time) and I end up with somewhat of a rash.

I think I origionally grew my goatee so I could get served when I was 16-17. Ive still got it now though at the age of 23. Ive considered shaving it off, but i'd probably have nightmares of feeling naked or something. And anyway, I can look all intelligent by stroking it :)
