Beards...

Yup, she complained for ages but last year when I asked whether I should shave it off she said 'no'.

My girlfriend is exactly the same, i once shaved it completely off and she had a right go at me for doing it, then got moaned at when it was growing back hehe you cant win - now just trim it to a number 2 on my trimmers every 6 weeks.

I have a goatee, grew a tache for Movember then let it grow out rather than shave it off.

I started growing one about 6-7 weeks ago and has come along nicely! Not sure what I plan on doing with it mind its already quite long. Elmarko that is fluff not a beard :p

:D - that was during the first week of the growing phase..... :(

Have kept a trimmed beard for last 5 years, keep the neck clean and cheeks kept trimmed to a bit above the jawline as can't be bothered with the itching when it grows over the cheeks.

Okay after 1 week that is fine

Funnily enough I just looked at the Fresh random image thread and see this

I am probably about 1/4 of the way towards this! Full coverage just need the volume ha

Goatee here. I've had it for about 20 years but until recently used to keep it short at about nr4 on my clippers. Recently though I've let it grow to about 5cm.

Had a goatee for about three years now, it's a few cm long. Have to trim it every so often because it gets too long and irritating. I can't think what I'd look like without it, just too normal.

EDIT: never thought of using clippers, that's quite clever. Does it work well?

I usually don a Goatee, but over Christmas I couldn't be bothered to shave and have a full beard now, black with a lot of grey!

Although its getting slightly annoying now though and itchy. The missus says she hates it, so i'm sticking it out for a few more weeks! ;) :D

Edit: just looked at that Beard.org site... and I usually don a "goatee and mustache" to be correct.

I grew mine out for a couple of months before xmas but it just stopped and didn't really fill out. I also have problems with bits just sticking out randomly and becoming tufty.. And I don't mean the bald bird off The Word either. Just randomly sticks out everywhere and just stops growing. It doesn't help when its light brown, ginger and dark brown either. :(

Sporting a goatee at the mo. Trimmed to number 5 on my Barba.

Have a 'Tache that makes me look like one of the Three Musketeers!!
Have a Goatee-thing, long enough to stroke, occasionally trimmed with the sideburn clipper on my electric razor. If I don't do anything for months on end, it gets long enough for other people to stroke. I once wanted it long enough to braid, Viking-stylee... but other hobbies stopped that.
Also have mutton-chops, but only because I'm very lazy about shaving it.

However, I also do WW2 Living History, which demands a complete clean-shaved look. The Mrs hates it, as she says it's "like kissing a boy, not a man"... guess I have a soft face, heh heh!!

I'm pretty lazy with mine so it grows into (pretty much) full beard (inc. an alarming amount of neckbeard) then I trim it all down to almost stubble in an attempt to have it styled, then straight back to overgrown in a month. Always fun.

Came in hoping for pictures of skidder but ready to accept amusing pictures of neckbeards but no, I get descriptions of facial hair and advice on length thereof.

GD :(
