Beards

Well, I'm 28 today, and my beard growing ability is still pretty poor. I can grow a pretty sweet moustache though.

I can't grow full on crazy beard but can get a decent one going. I always sport a neatly trimmed one these days and work don't care as it's a nice chilled atmosphere.

Rock on!

I don't particularly have a beard as such, I just shave once every week or so once its at about 1cm long. Full on beards seem to be the 'in' thing at the moment but imo look ridiculous on some people. Was down in London the other week and couldn't turn around for seeing a try hard cool kid trying to rock a beard.

Shoreditch ******* I believe people call them.

It is definitely warmer as a few have pointed out. Unfortunately I can't grow a tash and dont think I will ever be able to. I'm 29 now and it grows, but a sort of blonde colour

I would be interested to see what I would look like with a beard, but after a week its so damn itchy and I look homeless so I relent and shave it off. My stubble is so thick and comprehensive however that if I was to grow a beard I am convinced it would resemble a heavy duty yard brush so its probably a good thing that I don't have one.

I can't grow a decent beard, it's patchy and nothing really grows on the front of my chin. I just use a trimmer on it once every week or two.

If I shave everything completely, it's itchy after a week so I use a trimmer and then it takes another 2-3 weeks to be itchy again.

At the age of 23 I'm still incapable of growing anything that looks like a beard and instead get what is basically patches of pubes on my face. I've come to terms with it and just shave all the time to stop it looking ridiculous but I really do hate not having the ability to leave it for a week or two!

I have to say that a beard is a godsend in winter of you are outdoors. It really does keep your face warm against a cold wind. My beard doesn't grow particularly thick so I don't bother. I went a month without shaving and it was only just passable after that. Like you judgeneo, my cheek hair is not great, but jawline is fairly thick and robust.

This, I had a beard when it was cold, now it's hovering around freezing I've got a goatee and when the snow finally disappears I'll go face naked.

If I let my beard get to long when I try to sleep it's like needles poking through my clothing.

I think I'd rather have a cold face in winter lol

At 29 i can grow a good beard on one half of my face left cheek and neck has birth mark and can grow almost no hair on it.
I tried to grow it out in hope maybe I could get enough coverage on left side to not look like I ran out of salon half way through a face wax and boy winter was warmer but tragically I definitely look like a tramp smack head or rapist so couple of days growth it has to go

I loved growing a bit of a beard over Christmas. I do like a good quality beard. Though I grew my first beard when I was 16! :D

I do find it a pain having to shave (I actually need to do it twice a day if I don't want any shadow) every day... I may try and convince the other half that a beard wouldn't be so bad...

I'm on holiday and all the ladies' bikini clad bits are making my eyes look a bit rapey, hopefully my non-rapey beard neutralises this effectively.
