Just my two cents but paying a MASSIVE premium for 8 cores just doesn't make sense. By the time games will take advantage of that, newer, cheaper and better chips will be out (i.e. skylake). The only reason to get the CPU is for heavy video editing and other tasks that can take advantage of all them core.

Just get a 4790K build and with the money you save, save for your next build.. have two great builds is better than one extreme build.
Or if you really wanna spend that kind of money just get a second Titan. (I'd sell and get 980 SLI)

My take is that if you're spending £2-3k on a PC setup, like I have, then it's an indulgence but if you need finance to be able to afford it then you REALLY need to think about why you're doing it! There are very few instances where buying the 5960X (or X99 generally) makes any real practical sense.

For gaming and general PC work phate's build above would be a far better bet. Is there a specific reason you want a 5960X other than it being the fastest CPU out there? What will you be using your PC for and maybe people could suggest a more 'value engineered' specification?

Those cables won't work with the Seasonic. You need the 'SE' series.

Streaming games is the main thing i will be doing I chose finance because it's just easier paying off monthly. the better cpu helps with the main game i play which is csgo which is a heavy cpu game and as i play that game at 1920x1080 resolution high settings i need it. Not to mention multiple programs you need open for running streams.

 You DO NOT need a 5960X for this. REPEAT... you DO NOT need a 5960X for this. And just in case you missed that... you DO NOT need a 5960X for this.

An i7 4790k will be fine for what you need, you're not going to need anything higher, CS:GO isn't that demanding compared to what others stream.

Nearly 1K on a CPU is crazy, most streamers/Youtubers, don't even have half of that and manage to do what you want to achieve, which I have to ask, why do you want to stream at a solid 1080p / 60 fps? Viewers don't need that crisp of a stream, surely?

If you wanna stream at 60fps in the resolution i want you do i have a friend with the cpu who tested it for me and said i will.
Your friend is wrong, plain and simple. Of course that CPU will do the job... but so will one a third the price! Do you HONESTLY think everyone streaming games has £1000 CPUs?!

I have to concur with above. The 5960x is a waste of money for your use (especially as its not your money).

Personally for a gaming/streaming rig I'd be looking at the 5820k. Still on the X99 platform but much cheaper. The 4790k would work too but I'd feel more confident 2-3 years down the line (streaming wise) with the 5820k.

No need to spend more than £1k either really. A titan should easily handle 1080p steaming for now but a 850w PSU would suffice for future 980 SLI upgrades.

I should point out that the op has X79 with a 3820 that I helped oc to 4.2 the other day, I feel his cooling (H60) is what is holding him back, causing him to get worried about temps.
