Just my two cents but paying a MASSIVE premium for 8 cores just doesn't make sense. By the time games will take advantage of that, newer, cheaper and better chips will be out (i.e. skylake). The only reason to get the CPU is for heavy video editing and other tasks that can take advantage of all them core.
Just get a 4790K build and with the money you save, save for your next build.. have two great builds is better than one extreme build.
Or if you really wanna spend that kind of money just get a second Titan. (I'd sell and get 980 SLI)

You DO NOT need a 5960X for this. REPEAT... you DO NOT need a 5960X for this. And just in case you missed that... you DO NOT need a 5960X for this....the better cpu helps with the main game i play which is csgo which is a heavy cpu game and as i play that game at 1920x1080 resolution high settings i need it. Not to mention multiple programs you need open for running streams.
Your friend is wrong, plain and simple. Of course that CPU will do the job... but so will one a third the price! Do you HONESTLY think everyone streaming games has £1000 CPUs?!If you wanna stream at 60fps in the resolution i want you do i have a friend with the cpu who tested it for me and said i will.
Who cares, it's on finance. I say buy two of everything so you can game whilst on the crapper.
