Beat Stulid and win tat (or at least get close)

Will give this a try over the next week or so, memory is going to be key here, not sure my hynix sticks will last 6+ mins @ 2400c8!! :p

My aim is 5.1ghz 2400mhz 9-10-10 tight all the way through, still might not be enough to topple those Sammy sticks stulid is rockin' though.

Doubt id get much more from ram either, did run it once at 2600, with slackened timings but 1T cmd rate instead of 2T. Didn't make an awful lot of difference on 32m. Albeit I was running a 4.5ghz 4770k then, current chip is at 4.7 on 1.300 so may go higher.

I'm just waiting for the post to appear in the boards called "I tried to beat Stulids free tat score and blew up my mobo - Help" thread :D

I will leave this going for a bit as there seems to be two users keen on having a blast.

What I probably should have done is made it a "match my score as close as you can ect" so people with slower clocks/ram could have tried too.

Single sided ram? wont be as good as double sided, you will need to get them over 3000+ to match a 2666Mhz double sided kit.

ahaaa! gotcha! :p

OT://
Well i can get them over 3000mhz, but only with 167 strap.
With 100 strap and 3000mhz ram the system wont post at all.
With 125 strap and 3000mhz the system will post and boot butafter restart its stuck at post.
Tried 100 strap + 102.3mhz 2933 ram=3000ram but no post.
So....167 strap is the only way.

Maybe i will need to dig more on how to do it. Max safe vccsa? I tested at 1.112v (bios was set to +0.300)

Or any trick that comes into your mind?

Run in diagnostic mode and preferably on win XP
Disable hyper threading(should be able to clock your core a little higher after this)
Find your most efficient cores by running the test and with only 1 enabled(open task manager and set affinity) jot down your times and use the 2 best cores.
Set priority in TM to high.

Win XP, urgghhhh hater!!!!

What have you been using Nick? Win7? as that is quicker for this than 8.

Yeah 7 mate, and a dirty one at that, i messed my XP install up!! Corrupted, dont know why! :D
That run i posted was on a full win7(normal boot) with about 49 services running and no wazza, which i have not got the hang of yet, my aim is around 6m 08s, would be happy with that on one of these chips. ;)
