does anyone else on here find it comfier to sleep with more than just a sheet on the bed? i.e. I have a valance under my sheet like big white thick cover that goes over the mattress then sheet. Can't feel lumps or bumps on the mattress and just makes for a really comfy nights sleep.

I have a matress cover, a sheet covering that, a duvet to lie on and a duvet to cover myself + 8 pillows which I tend to cover myself in when I sleep :D

Jcb33.

My mum tells me off if I sleep directly under the duvet. I'd like to have the window open at night to keep me cool but when the wind blows and the curtains move it's all spooky and I dont like it.

I'm not fussy could sleep on the floor and wouldn't be bothered too much. Apparently my bed is quite uncomfortable, but it's fine for me.

What's the most expensive bed you ever slept on? If the matress is high quality then you don't really need all that extra stuff. I've tried my missus' 800quid superking size bed at her parents house in china, and spending 800pounds in china to buy a bed is really pushing it, you'd get one of them top quality ones in shop. now that's one of the most comfy bed I've ever slept in.
And for those that sleeps on the floor, too hard surface surely would damage your spine in the long run?

I dont really know the expense of my beds ive never bought them myself, previous 2 have been hand me downs .. i just personally find it comfier with the extra padding and its something my mum always does with her bed and has taught me to.
