bed

Got a memory foam mattress soo no.... I sleep so much better on it than a normal mattress, good investment.

More comfy than you might think :p a light cover under me and a good thick cover on top.

Compaired to comming home rat faced and sleeping on the garden slabs, outside the next door neighbour's home thinknig it was mine etc :p

I slept on the floor for a year at uni and actually found it really comfy; put a rug down under me and had a duvet on top.

My room was too small to have both a desk and a bed in, and the PC won out!

Not convinced :p ive slept on the floor when ive had to and ended up with a bad back, plus if you sleep on your side you can really feel the floor against your legs end up aching all over the next day.

Ditto. Firm, yet supportive, and on the other bed. Always get a decent night's sleep... when I sleep in the spare room away from she-who-fidgets-a-lot.

to those who are so vehemently against the idea of sleeping on the floor.. what do you think you do when you go camping? and how do you think we all survived before we invented these new fangled 'bed' things..

sheeesh.. youth of today, don't know you're born.

We bought a £1000 memory foam mattress two years ago, best investment ever. I need it more than her due to a permanent bad back (slipped discs).

Our other one was getting on for 25 years old, we got it a week after we got our first house IIRC.

why use lightbulbs when candles are ok?

Memory foam mattress w/ cool mattress cover is the business

Only problem is can't get to sleep if I have to sleep on a traditional mattress now since I upgraded to memory foam :(

My "mattress" is really just some springs attached to some wood, so after reading that someone else on here had done it, i threw my duvet on the matress then covered that with teh mattress cover.

Works a charm. I dont have a duvet anymore... so i just sleep under the duvet cover, but it's been delightful all week. I feel better than ever in the morning!

We bought one a year ago and we are replacing it already. It is a good mattress but we just don't like it. We've finally had enough and bought a new pocketsprung mattress a couple of weeks ago and are waiting for it to arrive.
Very galling spending £800 on a mattress only a year after spending £500 on the previous one. Tried lots of cheaper mattresses but they were all naff.
