Been overcharged for petrol

I'd complain out of spite. Asda are charging well over the odds per litre for their crappy quality fuel as it is .compared to other rivals .. quick to increase (even though when the cost of the barrel has not increased at wholesale price ) . The slowest to reduce .

Give zero craps about the customer, all about profiteering

They all use the same base fuel just different additive packages added to the tanker if the driver can be bothered. Asda are always expensive around here too they seem to slowly creep the prices up usually more than other places.

Yup

it's always slightly amusing the idea that supermarket fuel isn't up to "standard", or is "rubbish" when the reality is it's all to the same standard with tiny amounts of different additives that may or may not make much difference at all (we're not like some of the non EU countries, or America were from memory they still use/used until much later much lower quality fuels as a standard option).
I think the only fuel that is reasonably widely available in the UK that might be usable in some cars but isn't up to modern car standards is some of the "marine" diesel.

There is likely an element of overheads and "drive offs" that affects that sort of thing.

I only only fill up with 99 RON fuel for optimum efficiency and performance so my options are supremely (hehehehe) limited to just 3 forecourts :o
