Beers of the World - Mk 5 *** RULES AND SIGNUP HERE ***

I figure by doing mine all in advance and having access to everyone's entries, it would be fairer.
Entering weekly is probably a better way to go in order to keep track and gives you a better chance for the bonus points.

My HonestBrew order arrived yesterday so I ticked off quite a few.
It seems that somewhere in my ordering, I forgot what I was doing and ordered some other beers that do not fit the categories :D

Yep, as above. It's to avoid any confusion on my part especially if you enter the same beer for multiple weeks.
Subject line should make it obvious but its a just in case.

I've emailed A-C, need a beer for D although I know what beer I want. Then got them all till M.
I now bickaxe isn't posting photos of all beers but I assume most members will be?

People are free to post pics, review their beer etc... and even justify their terrible choices. Its all about enjoying it and maybe even learning or trying something different.

Including myself, I have 11 entries so far. @touch's went into spam but its been rescued.

Country rounds - Brewed and bottled/canned in that country. If anyone enters that Brewdog airplane beer, I would treat it as the flag of the plane (if they are like vessels then it could be anywhere, I got bored of Brewdogs marketing years ago)

Did you get mine OK?

I did.

It's just whether his friends have checked in with it or not... I think?! So doesn't matter if it's **** water. In fact the worse the beer the more likely a bonus point

Correct about the friend check-ins. I will say that the more common the beer/lager the less likely they are to have checked it in (at least thats my theory, I'm relying on my knowledge of my friends here)

I'm guessing that he's still going to post a list of which beers people have entered?
There's no need for the photos in that case - in fact, half the time I can't even tell what a beer is from the photos anyway so text would be more useful. Modern artistic labels don't always have the name of the beer on it (and sometimes no text at all) so if you don't recognise it you won't know what it is.

A list of individual beers will be posted to save deciphering images. If its a one of these modern labels without much info, I might dock points for having to put effort in.

Just realised I’ve read the F category as 5% or over, need to resubmit. Not going to get many points for the 10% beer I’ve sent in

Its not the category I thought would catch anyone out but am happy that you now have to buy more beer :)

I'm going to make a post in La Cuisine for the 1st round and extend the deadline for newcomers/latecomers because I'm generous like that. I'm heading to the pub later so its not like it will make much difference.

Ah. Never been to Netherlands but I did see a ton of it in Bruges when I was there a few years ago, various shops seemed to specialise in it. Quite enjoyed the free samples.

That was for the first round only, the usual time will be entries by midday Saturday.

The results thread will be made on a Sunday as sometimes I have other things going happening on Saturdays (like going to the pub)

@Bickaxe
Are you able to confirm receipt of mine? My phone shows the email stuck in drafts and my browser shows it in sent items :\

I have it.
I had a great one at the pub last night, but because we are sat outside I can't get a pic of the label so I couldn't change my choice.
Indoor drinking from next week which should make things a little easier.
